I’m off this week and have only made a couple of quick trips out of the house. For those quickie trips, I usually grab a Toque. My current work snuffs are Alpina, Hedges 260, De Kralingse AO 1860, Lowen-Prise and Navy Plain. This can vary depending on anticipated work conditions.

When I go to work in the morning I usually take 1 that I already like and 1 that I am trying to warm up to. That way I spend some time with one I might not give much attention to if I had my whole collection in front of me, and I have a fallback. Today it was Gawith SP Scotch (love it) and Mandarin (still not sure).

The past few days I have been tearing up a lot of Quit and also taking along a box of Dragun Menthol and a flip box of Lowen-Prise. There is just something so refreshing about taking a big snoot real early in the morning when it is frigid outside.

@willc I love a nose full of menthol (especially President or Löwen Prise) when its cold out. Breathing in scented mentholated air feels awesome.

@TobbacoLassy now that it is cold out my morning snuff is usually a nice strong menthol. I like most Poschl snuff but Red Bull is my favorite menthol of theirs. 6P No. 666, WoS Dynamite,SG B Menthol, and Snafu are some of the snuffs in my current menthol rotation. One of my most relaxing times for a good menthol blast is around 5AM when I am waiting on the train. Pure bliss.

@Wulfensteinsson - I thank you for the compliment; however, it is more a matter of entertainment/expectancy than organization. That is, I carry 11 distinct flavors of snuff with me each day and I find great amusement in determining what time of day each would be best. For example, I like mentholated snuff to start the day; something sweet for just before and after lunch; spicy snuff to get through the afternoon; and complex, comforting, toasts in the evening. Lastly, this sort of “scheduling” gives me something to look forward to throughout the day!

What a cool idea, @scottofksu! I mostly just reach in one of my pockets and decide from there. But the fun of expectancy sounds like something I’ll try.

@Sly3904 I purchased the snuff house.org boxes off Mr.Snuff, I carry three holstered on my belt using zippo holsters, and a heartwood or Patrick Collins triple tech box in pocket, I am not fond of smash boxes they keep snuff fresh, but I have a hard time operating them.I also have the Rococo plastic boxes I grab for a quick change of snuffs. I have a pipe bag I hook on to my belt loop for easy access. they fit well in cell phone holsters also. If I wasn’t such a dude I would carry a murce or man purse. And it would be full of pipes, tobacco, chew, snus and snuff plus handkerchief,pipe tools, cleaners,snuff spoon and lighters

Nice rotation. I tend to carry the same rotation for a couple days or so, as well. I have a couple that never leave my pocket, and other snuff rotates around those. :))

I want to mix things up but it’s hard to not have at least a few of my favorites on hand. I also prefer carrying tap boxes instead of tins so I can just tap some out onto the back of my hand. I need to finish off a few so I can refill them with other stuff. I’m planning on making a big Toque order soon but there’s no way I’m gonna be carrying those tins around in my pockets.

Since it is Friday I’m going to close my eyes and fill my jacket with tins. I hope I make good decisions

Can you remember what you were thinking about just before you spilt the snuff? I had a pal that was convinced the apparently clumbsy event and what you were thinking were closely related in that you really threw the snuff on the floor in reaction to what you were thinking. I know sounds like nonsense to me too!

Unfortunately, I was discussing a family member who is under hospice care. Mostly, I was just not paying attention. I screw the lids on pretty tightly and in unscrewing this one…sacrificed it to the great sniffer in the sky (or, in my case, on the floor). Freudian snuff theory–in the case you mention, I guess it would be some form of transference–is not applicable. I’m too nasal retentive. Ha. Ha. Ha. Today’s rotation: F&T Macouba, F&T Santo Domingo, and McChrystal’s O&G.

@snuffnPuff The snuffnpuff apricot mix is great! Tweaked it a bit with a little more peach, and believe it or not, a tad of toque grapfruit. Adds a littls brightness to the mix.

I mixed quite a few snuffs, and I’ve been stuck on this blend for a couple weeks. 100g FUBAR Grunt 100g Garrett Sweet 50g Garrett Scotch 50g Dholokia Chocolate 50g Wow Coconut Toffee. I’ve been averaging 2-4 grams a day of this mix. It’s been great.

@apvonkanel sounds nice, what do you call that mix? It sounds pretty tasty… Like a Mounds candy bar. I haven’t had Garrett since the WalMart by me stopped selling it a few years ago.

Ooh, let’s see… Today I’ve had SG Toffee, SWS Créme de Figue, Dean Swift Specific, Viking Blonde, WoS IHT #22, Toque Camphor & Clove, Molens Mettaijer, Toque Almond Toast, Snuff Store’s Golden Pinch, Segar & Snuff Parlour Covent Golden, GH Dry Orange, GH Sea Breezes… and am about to wind up the evening with Dholakia Rose Chocolate.

I start the day with F&T Princes, then Macouba and President to clear the nose. Then I move through F&T bordeaux and Gletsher Prise. I have been ending the day with Sam’s Own and and\\or a mix of wilson’s jasmine and Gawith kendall. I just received a box from MrSnuff. I expect all above to change. I fell in love with Dhokalia Ganga and Hedges the snuff. Mixed a bit of Ganga with Macouba (50/50) and loved it. My tastes seem to parallel TobaccyLassy’s and, if she (an assumption on my part as on a different forum Dirty Lucy turned out to be a man) would list her favorites I would be grateful as I carry both menthol and regular snuffs, though Toque Raspberry Menthol might become my carry snuff (I’m rarely away from home for long). Despite doing snuff off and on for over 40 years I lack the depth of experience so in evidence here. Suggestions are always welcome and appreciated unless they are from drivers I have just cut off. But most of them just express their opinion with a one finger salute. Now you know far more than you care for, but when I was a cigarette smoker there wasn’t much to get excited about and when smoking pipes the same about the tobaccos (to each his own) and the talk was of the pipes. This is far more interesting and fun with far finer people. A note about Raspberry- how can one dislike a fruit that stoically bears a silent P. Now, if someone would come out with a snuff that rhymes with Orange…

I’m a menthol fan, and always carry one menthol each day along with others. Straight scotches in general seems to run through my day. I’ve been hitting a lot of WoS Apple, almost out of Snafu (hopefully there won’t be any lapse, since 7 more tins are on their way), and of course my Grunting Chocolate Scotch (Grunt, Dlkia Swiss Choclate, scotch blend).

The usual work rotation again, with the addition of Grey Swiss Chocolate mix and F&T HDT.

Today I have been sampling a heady combination of 50/50 Wilsons’ Extra Menthol and McChrystal’s Supermint. Awaiting a delivery of new varieties tomorrow, including ginger and cinnamon, which I plan mixing with clove to make an all-spice sort of blend.

Started off the morning with some Sparrow. Mixed some Toque quit with Camphor&clove to take with me all day. Finished the night with F&T HDT. It was a pretty good day.

Nice, O.G. Rumshot it is. This one doesnt really smell like straight rum. I’m sure someone else has a better description, but I get Coke with a hint of rum…and something else, but not really sure. I dont like the scent straight which is why I tried to mix it.

It’s branded as polish Cygara i Tytoń, but for what I know it is made by someone else. I don’t know by who. It reminds me SG Peach, quite similar taste. I bought it in Bydgoszcz, Poland, but of course you can buy it by the net: for example here Cheers with Gawith Apricot. It launches me every morning.

I’ve got only Gletscher Prise and Gawith Cola with me today…forgot my O&G at home.

I’ve started a day with WoS Queens Extra Strong, which gave me immediate nicotine shot. Then I’ve almost lost my Kendal Brown, but I didn’t spill so much as it could have been… so I needed to snuff a larger pinch. Now I have Kendal Brown in my nose and Amostrinha in my hand. Soon it will be in my nose too.

Just two today. O&G F&T Morlaix (inspired by the recent thread about it). It’s nice, but just a tad too ‘old woman soapy’.

@lunecat if you can find a good snuff tobacconist around there I’d be interested. Only place I know of is one place in Waterloo. They only have McC O&G , 25g for 19.95$. A little ridiculous if you ask me. My rotation today is toque blueberry menthol, F&T old Paris and 6 photo natural. Good for a miserable rainy day

I found an assortment at a local indian store so I’m trying them all this afternoon… Sugandhsagar Rose Brand - Very interesting, I might enjoy this if I can get used to the scents. 5 Photo Himalaya Nasawar - Extremely dark, overpowering scents that are unfamiliar to my western nose. Definitely not going into a regular rotation. Swastik - Pretty good snuff, IMO. Nice menthol. It seems like there is a bit of some other scent that is common to the other two but in much lesser amounts underneath which is nice.

@lunecat I’m surprised, I have not found many stores that carry much of anything in the way of snuff. Most stores I found are pretty pricey. If you find yourself near Toronto or or there abouts I could throw you a few tins to make your stay a little more comfortable!

I’m not really rotating anymore. Rather filling a smash box from bulk, finishing that, and then refilling smash box with a different snuff and so on. Yesterday I had 5g of Toque Cherry, followed by 5g of WoS Grand Cairo. Today so far, just O&G followed by Viking Dark. My first pinch of the day is *always* O&G which seems to prepare my nose nicely for whatever other snuffs I use that day.
