Amazing the amount of snuff thrown away.
I have had a few rusty tins in the past that had to go out with the enclosed dubious contents.
Large amounts go into glass, but any that are not appetizing are kept in store for a later sampling.
I hated Old Paris the first couple of tries, but really enjoy it now after a long break between originally buying and trying.
The waste of once good snuffs reminds me of a saying that was attributed to Mr Colman of Colmans Mustard and Starch fame.
" I make my fortune from the mustard that people leave unused on the plate."
More mustard is purchased than actually consumed. You still have to pay for it though.
It’s the same with snuff. But who bothers when prices are so very reasonable.
And just for the sake of completeness, a rhyme from my childhood days.
Colmans Mustard
Colmans Starch
Tell mister Colman to stick it up his a##e.
I believe the rhyme dates from at least the 1920s.
Cheers all.
