Is out there special kind of snuff that most people may consider an all day snuff ? or is it just personal preferences ?

Any one snuff that you enjoy I think!

Some snuffs are okay for a few pinches or part of the day but past that they may clog up my sinuses.

So for me an all day snuff is one that I can take all day with no sinus issues

My all day snuffs are FUBAR Grunt, Viking Dark, Spanish Gem, Quit, many Sp’s and pretty much any toast.

@Theatre ya of course but is there like a famous snuff that most people like and can consider as an all day snuff ? there must be some kinds that fall in this category

@Slide I agree that an all day snuff must not be a kind that clog your sinuses… I too have Toque Spanish Gem and Quit and I wait for my first order from Mrsnuff including FUBAR Grunt… I can’t wait to try it after what I read about it

I have my favourites, and as long as I like it I’ll use it all day.

I guess things like WoS Grand Cairo, Toque Quit, SG Vanilla, 6 Photo super Kailash, McChrystals Hops, Toque Original are ones that are standard snuffs - not too strong, and don’t burn or make you run and are simple flavours.

@Theatre I agree about Toque Quit, Original and I wish I try all the other kinds you mentioned, this snuff world is really interesting and make you curious to try everything

My all day snuffs are Quit Sp Extra Viking dark Dragun Grunt. F&T HDT/ Toque Natural Toast

@ItsMajick I am waiting for my MrSnuff order and It contains FUBAR Grunt 50g… I hope it has high nicotine hit as I read

Right now in my snuff box is Toque Vanilla Coke Quit, delicious.

I recommend Tranter’s Hobson’s Choice, I got 1/2lb of it last week, beautiful, it’s spearmint, menthol and a little bit of camphor.

@Walrus1985:  Where did you come by a 1/2lb of Tranter?  I thought they had been discontinued.  I would give my left leg for a lb of Cotswold.

@Mr.Nose I believe WoS Strasbourg is identical to Cotswold (it was just re-branded under the Tranter label but made by WoS), so you should be able to get 1/2lb of that. (But check if I’m right first!!)

@sloth357:  WoS Strasbourg and Tranter’s Cotwold are very similar but not quite the same snuff.  I have a pound of Strasbourg to which I have added cinnamon in an attempt to replicate Cotswold; it is close and I like it well it enough, but it is not the same.

Viking dark makes my list for sure. Toque for me is usually a pretty good all day snuff; quit, w&h and natural to name a few. For an all day sp I go to gold label or grand Cairo from Wilson’s. That however may change with the addition of Viking blonde.

@Sly3904 All I have now is Toque snuff only and I wait for my 1st Mrsnuff order with a nice variety and I feel excited about the new kinds I ordered specially FUBAR Grunt…

@kougy I liked grunt. I had about 5 grams as a sample. I haven’t ordered more yet just because there is so much more to try. I think you’ll like fubear. It has a nice grind and moisture level. Itsdefinitley nice to have a change up from Toque. Those are good snuffs but there is a lot to try. Did you give any Wilson’s or vikings a go? Those happen to be my favorites.

The answer to this question is that it is entirely preference.

@kougyyes give any of the sp snuffs from Wilson’s a try if you can. The Gold Label is my personal choice but they are all good. Which toques did you try? Are you a cigarette smoker trying to quit? The quit from Toque is a good cigarette replacement and for a nice nix fix and pure tobacco flavor Viking dark is hard to beat. Its a dark medium grind with a little bite and smoke flavor. Some earthy coffee chocalate can be found there as well. For something milder Kendal brown is nice.

@Sly3904 I already quit smoking 13 months ago just after serious decision and without any substitutions and after 15 years of  smoking 2 packs daily and more…I knew about snuff 4 months ago and my 1st order was from Toque site: Toque Quit, Natural, Original, Spanish Gem, Chocolate, Blueberry, Espresso and Menthol… Now I am waiting for my 1st order from Mrsnuff with different varieties…

@kougy, same as Wilson’s as Wilson’s make the Tranter snuffs. Apparently the WoS equivelent is Crumbs of Comfort Extra, but I’ve tried that, and it doesn’t have the camphor in it like Hobson’s Choice.

@Walrus After I knew snuff I asked myself why I spent 15 years smoking cigarettes, why I never heard about this nice snuff world and hobby that can take long time without feeling bored or harm yourself

Toque SP Extra works nicely for me as an all day snuff. Nice and light aroma and uplifting with it’s bergamot scent.

What ever is in the five snuff boxes I carry. and it varies often I may have 50 Favorite all day snuff. And the list keeps growing.Especially with custom trail mix snuff.

@thorgrimnr I have now Toque Spanish Gem and I liked it better than the other Toque flavors I got and maybe the Original too is good and better than the Natural…

@basement_shaman It seems that you like to enjoy what you have and this is really great to always appreciate what you already have better than postponing your enjoyment until you get what you don’t have yet

My all day snuffs are 1 sp and 1 toast, usually wilsons best sp or sp100, and a half-half mix of sg irish d light and f&t high dry toast. I can go all day with these without drip or clogging (blow my nose once during the day if at all), and I never seem to get tired of their scent unlike some other stronger scented varieties.

It’s really a matter of personal preference…The two that I have used most often for “all day” snuffs are:

Poschl President (used it for several years until I discovered Indian snuffs.)

6 Photo Natural. I got it in a trade and it was gone in no time because it became an all day snuff quickly, lol. Now I have 200g of it on the way.

I’d say it’s on the high side of medium…or the low side of high. It depends on how you look at it.

@Harkequin Well I take snuff until I get a Nicotine fix so if the snuff is on the high side I would use a lot less but anyways the most important is the flavor and quality of the snuff.

Wilsons Vanilla Ice and Poschl Ozona President are great all-day snuffs for me, as I don’t really get bored of them and they seem to suit any mood/situation. You can take them frequently without thinking it’s too overpowering, too sweet, too dry etc. The only problem is that menthols can sometimes irritate the nose but as I’ve said before an allergy tablet generally sorts that out.

@Sloth I did not try any Wilson’s snuff till now but sure I will… I use Menthol one or two times only per day to clear my sinuses but more than that will do the opposite…keep on snuffing

My go to all day snuffs are Poschl Apricot or WoS Raspberry.

Have you tried “TOM BUCK” by Wilson’s yet?
SP EXTRA seems to have an “artificial” scent to it for me, I dunno why but it’s still nice…
Tom Buck has a better base flour IMO and is much more “bright”

Best SP is the only all dayer for me. Tom Buck is slightly coarser which tends to be a bit more ‘nose messy’. For me Best SP is a brighter more uplifting snuff and very nose friendly with plenty of kick.

Snuffs that I use the most are those I’ve choose to take by bulk,actually WoS Coffee Cream or Apricot by example.McC Hopfen should be this element with Viking Dark(separatly).

(I wanted to talk about S.Gawith Apricot,not Wos witch is not in a very good day  with Apricot in my opinion)

@gandalf Actually I did not try either of them until now and I think I will begin with Viking Dark.

SP extra and Whiskey and Honey are two of my all day snuffs and two snuffs i have more of than any other in my collection besides Spanish Gem, which personally i prefer as a bedtime snuff. Scorches are also good all day snuffs for the same reasons as their English cousin, toasts. I have a snuffbox specifically for scorches that I never leave the house without. It’s usually a sweet scotch but that makes no difference as far as clogging goes. One of my personal favorites as an all day snuff and SP that i dont see mentioned is J&H’s SP no 1. I just took a pinch to clear my nose and it did the trick, while also acting as a palate cleanser to prepare for a snuff with a much heavier scent(pretty much any scented snuff). PS how are you liking grunt? I just tried it and found that I liked it more the second time I took it.

@TomStrasbourg I will get my new order (Grunt included) finally next Friday and I will let you know about my opinion about Grunt and Sparrow Cool too… I read about J&H SP no 1 and ya it is worth trying too.

True, but it clears out great. The nic hit is almost immediate imo.

Viking Dark does not have a coarse grind, it is medium-fine.

Buzz Bubblegum light on all measures .not that it’s my all day snuff; because that consists of eight or more different snuffs. The five I carry to work and the giant stash at home. Why limit the range?

Viking dark is an all day snuff for sure-one healthy pinch in each nostril and I’m fixed up with enough mic for the day! (hyperbole but seriously I’ve had a good buzz for an hour or more with that one)

Today it’s Wilsons Irish Toast No. 22 for me, but tomorrow…?
