What flavour snuffs would you like to see available??

As the ‘stories behind the name’ thread is getting somewhat hijacked by talk of snuff flavours people would like to see (Im probably the main culprit there) I thought I’d make this thread…Make them as exotic or as dull as you like :stuck_out_tongue: I would personally like to see Green tea w/ jasmine snuff although I had a green tea frappucino in beijing @ starbucks once, which had a really strong flavour! so perhaps powdered green tea like Japanese matcha on its own would work… And also a ‘dusty old 2nd hand bookshop’ snuff :stuck_out_tongue: I love that smell…

Sassafras.

@ snuffdog…That would be fantastic, I love a good pungent spice like sassafras How about a MARMITE snuff? I could dig that…

I could definitely do a Marmite, if you’re not careful that stuff will grow on you. A sassafras toast sounds good too, don’t think I’ve seen that idea before but it is a great scent!

Gallahers - who I have no idea if they are still in business or make snuff - used to make a mentholated Irish toast called ‘wit and wisdom’. I would love to see Toque produce a very lightly mentholated toast. I also think a floral toast - maybe rose or lavendar - would be nice. The thing for me is that I always gravitate back to simple, traditional snuffs. I’m more interested in snuffs that I can use all day rather than exotic flavours that start to get a bit cloying.

Marmite… now there’s a thought. I’ll have to see if I have a suitably plain snuff lying around that I can try flavouring. No shortage of Marmite in the cupboard  I’m afraid Gallahers are long gone and I while I suspect Imperial Tobacco may now have the rights to the name I don’t think we’ll see their snuffs produced again. Just as well we have Toque to bring us a new generation of first class snuff.

Marmite… (whole body shakes in fear)

I can feel a Paddington moment coming on

I’m thinking of the recent Marmite adverts, where Paddington adds a healthy dollop of the stuff to sandwiches at various events with the expected totally positive or totally negative reactions.Link

oaxaca - There is a pipe tobacco named haunted book shop that smells like that I picked up some from Mars Cigar about a year ago. I may try grinding a bit of it up and I’ll let you know. By the way it is best smoked in a cob.

My pleasure! There have been a few adverts in the sequence so far. In the first he was thinking of an alternative to the marmalade, and so it went on. All good fun. Remarkable how they can run a successful advertising campaign pointing out that some people absolutely hate the product!

Yeah that surprised me too. I think Ill see if I can try it, I never had Marmite… Seems like the ad works

I would be really interested in Marmite, or at least a good english BBQ/toast -like American snuff, ‘but fluffier’, plus: Basil, maybe even with parmesan, the sort of aroma from a good Italian deli (I guess that becomes pesto) Corriander, maybe with something else - kinda Tai restaurant Smoked salmon - with maybe a whisky undertone (I like those together  Bread - doesn’t sound interesting maybe, but fresh baked bread is lovely Ooh, youve got me started now… TTFN

Oooooo Gimme PESTO any day of the week! Wilson’s do a rosemary so why not a basil snuff. Great idea jonathan! I have to say I find coriander repulsive though so wouldnt be purchasing that one :stuck_out_tongue:

I can enjoy _ some _ marmite. I bought a jar after I couldn’t find vegemite. I can’t do it on toast, but I do enjoy it to kick up a sandwich every now and then. EDIT: Those Paddington commercials are hilarious.

I must confess, I have never heard of Marmite until this thread. What is it exactly? Is it more of a British thing? I like the above idea of Thai restaurant (though I think we can come up with a better name) I could eat Thai food everyday. Italian sounds good too, how about garlic and oregano snuff? Flower scents I absolutley adore (and are the thing I look forward to most every spring) are lilac, vibernum, gardenia, cherry laurel. These you have to smell to know. I have no idea if they would translate to snuff. I need to try one of the jasmne ones out there as that is a wonderfully sweet flower. When spring breaks here and the flowers are all out I may go on about other ones.

Chilli menthol to get your nose running (and your bottom). I think there are enough fruit, pudding, spread, spirit and menthol snuffs. More interesting would be to introduce new blends, like the F&T snuffs, which get people guessing what the scents are, and not name them peanut guava fritter, marmite & passion fruit etc. Perhaps I am old fashioned.

BACON!!! Hehehehe, got to keep trying.
