What do you think about taxi blue snuff?

I got my delivery in this morning. I want to know, what is your opinion of taxi blue snuff? I am new to snuff. So tell me about taxi blue snuff.

I’ve not had any since last year but,it’s got an excellent natural tobacco taste. It’s also strong in nicotine, but still not as brutal as the Taxi Red. I wouldn’t get any more blue because I love the red so much! The Red is my after food snuff, it’s the only one that hits the spot with me when i need a hit…

Many people love this stuff. Me, I can’t get into it yet. It’s too cow-dung like for me. Dry,course and loaded with nic which isn’t so bad, but the aroma makes me shake my head and put it away. This happened a bunch of times so I traded it. I’ll probably try it again in the summer as it’ll be a year into snuff at that point, but for now I have none.

I like the Red best. The moist SA snuffs arn’t bad, but I thought the menthols were not good. Venters was OK.

The empty tins I have laying around tell me it’s good stuff. I’ve got a couple Red right now but I think I like the Blue better.

Now that i have tried this taxi blue stuff, i will say that this is really good! I like alot!

It’s strange. When I open the can and take a whiff, I really love the aroma - but as soon as I take a pinch all I smell is dung. I’m not a fan of dung.

Dung for me as well, just don’t get it. I don’t know if they are the same people who make NTSU, but that I love.

All a bit strange. Taxi Blue arrived a few days ago.Opened it and it wasnt moist or smelling of ammonia. Just a faint earthy aroma. Looked remarkably like coarsley ground cork floor tiles. Had a “snuff Taxi Blue only” day and was so bored that I smoked far more cigarettes than usual. If there is a nic kick or flavour in there, I didnt find it. Maybe the ANC have taken it over, africanised it and Taxi Blue really is just ground up cork. Maybe mine is the Mk2 version (is there one?).Container was dark blue with nothing written on it with a yellow top and the words Taxi in the middle and around it GWAYI super snuff.

Sounds like you got a bad tin. Should be moist as mud. You need to shovel huge amounts in to do it justice. There is only one version to my knowledge.

London Jack, I’m pretty sure your source do not sell a lot of Taxi. That must be a very old tin.

Think I might try to rehydrate it. The “old boys” in the u.k put a slice of potatoe in with their handrolling tobacco to keep it moist but scraping snuff of a slice of potatoe sounds 'orrible. A few drops of water, maybe?

Ah well, the water thing didnt work. I am now left with soggy ground cork, instead of dry. Didnt restore the nicoteen either. In theory, nicoteen is part of the tobacco so should still be there? Wonder where its gone?

Maybe it isn’t tobacco. It’s counterfit. Seems that used to be a real practice apperantly. Of cutting snuff with things like cork or the like to add volume.

@London Jack, A small slice off of an Apple works great, about 0.5in long doesn’t take much. Leave it in for a day or two shaking every now and then. I’ve used this method on my loose snus for years and found that it works great with snuff as well. The Apple does not impart any additional flavor to the tobacco.

I grinded my taxi blue and mixed with no99 with good success. don’t know what kind of a nose works with that granular snuff. .
