There are several videos on youtube about people who snort snuff instead of gently sniffing it. Well out of curiosity i tried it once, about 10 centimeters, the feeling and nicotine rush was totally different. I know that’s not the right way of using snuff and won’t continue to do that. But there are people who did 3,6 meters of red bull (strong) snuff and that’s really strange, what do you think about it?

Honestly… I think it’s pretty stupid, plain and simple. These are usually people who associate proper snuff with less noble substances. I think it shows the low intelligence that many people have about things. I wish they would make videos about how they can sterilize themselves instead of how not to use nasal snuff.

Some folks like to be “extreme”; it’s like shotgunning a beer. It’s silly, but BFD IMHO.

Its also not unlike the videos of people smoking a cigarette really fast. We can all do it, but…why?

I think it’s possible that people really believe that’s how snuff is used. Before I learned about proper nasal snuff usage, I think I thought it was snorted.

It’s a magic trick I think. Probably the snuff is deposited into a bag in the persons trousers.

My friends snort snuff, because they can’t manage to not hit the throat with pinches. I also have one snorter, it’s very short (about 3 - 4 cm) and has cut tip of some other pen stuck in the upper side. It gets a lot more flavour out of snuff! The Spanish gem is now even better and unresistable than before

To each his own. Do I honestly care about some dude snorting snuff? No. Does it affect me in any way? No. I enjoy my snuff and thats all that matters.

@DaveK313 I agree with your view. I think snuff snorters are just wannabes. It’s either they don’t have the money/access to cocaine so they snort snuff instead. I sometimes snort my snuff instead of gently sniffing it. I blame it on my constantly clogged nose~

I think they are usaly bored as fuck. Every video seems to be made somewhere people would be really bored. Seriously if you’re incredible bored are you not more likely to do something stupid. Also realize the in most videos to say it’s coke head fakes or assume that is the place the person is comeing from you have to assume that (not all of the videos some definatly have that in the fore front), really seems more stupid mildly macho masochistic. Reminds me more of eating hot peppers then doing coke (based on how people act about it). Of course that is just my take on them and I’ve not watched a lot of these videos. One final thing if nasal snuff isn’t a big thing for you how are you too even know that doing snuff like that is wrong, or even atypical of how snuff is properly taken? More importantly I don’t think any of these people fell they are representing snuff culture (which is why I think people here tend to hate them so much.) but more like they are preforming a stupid human trick. Of course I do hate that some people will see these videos and take it on themselves to say this is what snuff is about but that happens with idiots all the time. Hey at least it isn’t as stupid as eyeballing vodka now that is amazingly dumb amazingly.

Full disclosure: I have a metal snorter, and I like it sometimes. The snuff goes to the same place it would with a bullet or back-of-hand. I also pinch or take my snuff right off a pipe tool. I don’t think using the snorter makes me a “coke head fake”, but I’m then not trying to prove a macho point in a video. I am just enjoying my snuff. I think they are two different things. @Bob: I think you hit the nail on the head with the hot peppers bit. Also, as to what you and Tom said about “how snuff is properly taken”: I’ve seen a few newbies snort snuff off their hands after I EXPLICITLY told them not to. Then they coughed and gagged. I think some people equate “up the nose” with “snort as hard as possible”. @snuff_n00b: Amen, brother! I will admit I enjoyed the video Troutsroker linked to years ago of the mohawked dude snuffing a huge line of W.E. Garrett. It makes me laugh. I really enjoy that snuff myself.

I try to sniff, and end up snorting some things by accident. Don’t enjoy that. As to these snorter vids, I am just not sure why anybody cares what some little idiots do on some video site. I ignore them and they don’t bother me at all. I remember when Jackass was on TV, and I would just flip on by - didn’t care for that crap either. Don’t care what other people like - as long as it doesn’t impact on me, and no one’s basic rights are violated, they can like, or do, whatever they want. As to WHY they do this stuff, just look up the word “idiot.” About a month ago I walked by some little shit-heads who were taking turns smacking each other in the balls. Yes, on purpose. Acouple of good sniffs of red bull can get me swimmy from Red Bull, I’d hate to think what all that would be like? From my one or two times with a bit too much on various snuffs I’d feel pretty ill.

@ Juraj: The full name is “Pöschl Chief Quality Red Bull Strong Snuff” That is to distinguish it from Red Bull Aromatic (which as far as I know is only sold in foil pouches in Germany and Poland) Strong is the more common one, although I don’t find it to be particularly strong.

Xander, if this guy is a troll, you’re just feeding it, and if he isnt’, you’re just pissing off a guy with a unique (albeit frowned upon) way of taking his snuff. Personally, I know a guy who likes to take the odd pinch. Every time I tell him not to, and every time he rails it. That’s why I have fun and slip Dholakia White or Hedges L260 into the rotation every once in a while.

Actually, if you look into the history of snuffing there are plenty of examples of people with their own unique approach to snuff. One 18th century woman was burried with her coffin full of it and paid mourners from her will to dump large handfulls on the road every few steps as her coffin was taken along. Then there was Samuel Johnson who kept it loose in his coat pocket and positively shovelled it in. Im not sure why anyone should care how someone else takes or enjoys their snuff. Wallow in it in the bath for all I care; its a tobacco product not holy writ. Stay on the board for any length of time and you’ll see this sort of thread come around every once in a while - I suggest when a topic turns into a slanging match it’s lost its purpose, so excuse me if I dump it.
