Depends whether the threads on the neck are internal or external. If they are internal, they’ll get full of snuff. If they are external, it looks to me like it will work pretty good.
Looks external to me, but what do I know LOL By the way… That would make a pretty WICKED snuff bottle if it DID end up working out

Oh I’m sorry, I was looking at the ebay mobile site on my phone and I didn’t realize that there was more than one photo! Yes, the threads on the neck are external. From what I can tell from the photos, it looks like it would make a good container for snuff, and it looks really well made too. Good luck!
Love my tripletechs but this definitely has the cool factor.
Really nice. A bit pricey but it is an original. I prefer pinching out of a box. Using a bottle I would prefer a spoon in the lid.
I don’t seem to get along with spoons. I think they allow too much air to get around the sides to be compatible with my snuffing technique, which is a shame because if I could use them, it would open up so many options to me with snuff containers. One day I’ll find that elusive flip-top, leak-proof, air-tight, small-capactiy nice-looking box that I’ve been searching for for years… @Gax1985, did you win the auction?
Yes I paid this much because it looks like brilliant work , as it is handmade ! I might get another snuffbox , either a tripletech or an antique one ( with the antique ones , I wonder about freshness and the box sealing well)
Hard to tell. I would go for a Toque flask if I was going for a tap type box. Btw, Abraxas snuff boxes are about to go on sale at Mr Snuff; padauk and teak I believe.
