What do u LIKE or Dislike in regards to;

I was doing my most important ( lol ) Sunday morning chore ( applying labels from tins and tubs to my long term storage and organizing snuff drawers ) got to thinking …Plenty of reviews of snuff, BUT WHAT DO YOU LIKE OR DISLIKE THE MOST IN REGARDS TO HOW THAT SNUFF BRAND COMES TO YOU THE END USER? ( i. e. packaging, stickers, diaphragms, overall looks cool to you or not, usability or not straight from packaging, how it seals, etc. ) Would you like to see your top snuffs packaged different? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ My FAVORITE is the QUALITY of the labels on TOQUE SNUFF… Overall, TOQUE puts pride in packaging there snuff with a top of the line label that peels easily off ( BTW, don’t ever heat those to peel, will shrink ) Overall it’s a quality snuff in a quality package with a diaphragm in tin cover. NO CUTTING CORNERS.

I really like the SG 25g tubs, I really hate tapboxes and I’m not a big fan of Wilsons cans either, I always feel like I have to rush through them before they go stale.

F&T, SG, and Toque do the best packaging in tins IMO.

W.o.s. labels! They fade are the letters wear off. Its frustrating when they wear out on my smaller jars.

Frankly, I couldn’t care less about whether labels peel off easily. What I would like is for more manufacturers to adopt the vacuum sealed tins used by SG and JH Wilson. WoS uses such a tin on its new medicated snuff (clearly intended to compete with JH Wilson), and I hope that someday they will expand the use of these tins across the line.

And of course now Imperial Tobacco (J&H Wilson) have dropped the vacuum packed tins in favour of ones like the WoS, McChrystals and Hedges ones… Apparently it is due to the manufacture of the J&HW snuffs being brought back to the UK from South Africa. At least the latest tin of J&HW I got was good and fresh, and wrapped in cellophane likes the Hedges tins. For long term storage I would recommend putting the tin in a ziploc bag inside an airtight container of some sort.

SG 25g tins are the only tin that is any good. As for labels, I’m buying snuff and could care less about the label.

I’ve always found WoS tins particularly bad; it’s like one way or the other, the IT#22 I have just now needs to be prised off with the end of my snuff spoon, whilst the jasmine one I’m on now is so loose that I always expecting to have a pocket full of it; likewise McChyrstals O & G I have currently. I have to admit that I tend to keep mine re-sealed with electrical tape due to this. Mind you I keep all my tobacco in sealable bags in the fridge, so they generally keep well. F&T, Tonque, the afore mentioned SG 25g and Abraxas glass (lovely: I reuse them) are all excellent in terms of keeping snuff fresh I think. Although I love the SG 25g tins being vacuum packed, has anyone else had a bit of a mare opening one? I did end up scooping London Brown off the table last one I opened :smiley:

Like - SG Vaccuum tins Dislike - SG & Tapboxes - useless! Like - Molens snuffs - fantastic! Dislike - The box won’t let me get at it Like - Wilsons tins as received Dislike - The lettering wearing off Like - F&T airtight storage of their tins Dislike - not being able to get a pinch from them Like - Toques flavours, packaging labels and tins Dislike - How difficult the snuffs are to take Like - The Jaxons tins, except … Dislike - It comes out a little fast (again, would prefer to be able to pinch)

Maybe I’m alone, but I love the little plastic tubs that the South African snuffs come in. I think they keep snuff pretty fresh. They are not fancy, but I like the contrasting colors and the three dimensional lettering. Ha! I think @50ft_trad echoed my sentiment on all of those snuffs that I have tried. Never tried Jaxons.

I also am not a fan of the Wilsons tins…the smaller they are, the more of a pain in the arse they are to open. I spilled some WoS apple because of the tins. I echo the sentiment about Toque tins…I like the twist lid.

up to now, favourite tins are SG 25g for that size, Toque 10g for that size… worst by far are wilsons. looks to be the same as the j&h wilsons, mcchrystals etc but more of a pain to get off. oh and i really didnt like the 6photo plastic tubs… and was really disappointed with snafu plain, tin was in terrible condition, purchased from mrsnuff. on top of this completely agree with all of @50ft_trad 's comment.

Agree with @fbones24 on the SA tubs. I like the German tap boxes as well, though only because they are suited to German snuffs, unlike the GH ones. I hate to think how many might have been turned off excellent GH snuffs because they are all dried out by the time they reach the snuffer. I have a nostalgic attachment to the tiny old JH Wilsons rectangular tins, but the new tins have spray labels on and are of the devil as a result. F&T are my favorites, Toque next, assuming we are dealing with non-vacuum tins, which do seem to be best for keeping snuff snuffy.

Sam gawith 25g tins are excellent. I’ve really gone off Toque tins, they’re flimsy and don’t keep the contents fresh enough for me. @ericthered, I agree that Pöschl tap boxes are good for their snuffs. Molens 100g and WoS bulk tubs are good. WoS tins, on the other hand, are only good for the recycling.

I really wish I could get 25, 50, or 100g bulk of Poschl Red Bull.
