I’ve been bored today and thought I’d count how many pinches of my Gletscherprise snuff I could get out of a gram… I’ve only been snuffing about a month and I love it… a few fine toque snuffs made me sneeze alot & decided to buy a bullet at first I thought one gram would last me a week or so… now a month on and found the snuffs I like (love menthol) Today I got 6 generous sized pinches of snuff out of a gram not a lot is it haha You would probably get 10 pinches out of a gram What about you guys? How big a pinch do you take? Do you get many out of gram

I’d like to be able to take more but I just haven’t figured it out yet. I feel like I am constantly in craving mode. I usually take a small pinch in each nostril every 2-3 hours…I would like to use more but I can’t figure out how to get it to all stay up there… any tips? I don’t think I want to try stuffing, and big hits off the back of my hand or bullets hit the throat…its like I have to figure out which method with which snuff. it’s so frustrating…in the two years I’ve been snuffing I think I’ve only had the head spins once, I’m doing something wrong.
No good asking me I’m normally looking for advice haha… I’ve not been snuffing long , but I cannot get use to the pinch technique at all, far too messy and always drop half of it so don’t see the point in trying, Any tips for us on pinch technique guys? (experienced users please) I do find however the back of the hand technique the easiest and most pleasureable… I pour a small pile of snuff and sniff , because I’m a big guy I can’t be doing with this smell the snuff business however I do not snort just sniff but pour a bit of a bigger pile on back of hand and sniff you should be fine… Only tried a few snuffs maybe about 6 and its easier if you use more moist snuff… don’t use dry fine snuff that is so light goes straight down my throat… I would recomend toque chocolate, Gletscherprise & lowenprise from poschl to start off with… I’m still sneezing after about 5-10 mins after a sniff a few times but as my nose is just getting use to snuff I don’t mind Rather snuff than cigarettes…
It’s hard for me to judge. pert of it depends on the grind/moisture/strength of a snuff, and it depends on which method I’m using. If I’m putting a really fine one out in a line, I can hammer an ounce in nothing flat. If I’m using a bullet, it takes tons of little doses for it to work out to an ounce. While playing video games I usually set out about an ounce on my desk and press some onto my finger and sniff that. So that’s a ton of tiny sniffs that last me 1 - 1.5 hours.
My boss takes such huge gobs out of a snuffbox that I’ll bet he would be in that 8 - 10 in each nostril for an ounce range. SD Cherry almost set him on fire this morning. I laughed.
Oh hold on an ounce?.. thats 1 Ounce = 28.3495231 Grams? I would get 84 pinches roughly out of one ounce… I will not believe your boss does 28 grams or more a day of snuff Anyone doing 28 grams of snuff a day or more has a serious problem

Sorry, 1 gram…I do that a lot on here.
Seriously though…Oscar is a power user. My biggest day was probably close to 15 grams, and that’s a drop in the bucket in comparison to Oscar.

Ok… I’m abit scared of taking too much snuff… because I’m not really addicted to nicotine and don’t want to be… so I’ve set myself a limit of no more than 2 grams a day, I guess a pinch in each nostril once an hour would be about 2 grams a day… I’m happy with that , But with dry fine snuff Ur sniff a lot less… obviously Next I’m going to try the hedges “snuff” the menthol one everyone recomends that’s quite strong… I’m a 95% menthol user as I love menthol so that’s next on my list as with radfords snuff…
For me around 8 portions out of a gram. But I mostly use the pinch method and finely grinded snuffs

Who has time to measure ?I carry around five snuff boxes some I pinch some I shovel it’s all good ! When they get close to empty just fill them up.I been trying to master Dholakia white this snuff is brutal ,So fine I cough before the lid is off

Seems like Wabbit is a collector, and hoarder. l will still be snuffing when Wabbit starts to sell off his degraded, dried up snuff. I do have quiet an amount of snuff here, but my way of thinking is I have what I can manage, and let the rest go dry and sneezeyi in the mill, or in the hands of the suppliers 
I tend to use a lot more quantity of the snuffs that don’t have a bad drip or a horrible effect if snorked into the throat. The moist ones that are easier to take seem to do that the worst to me. But stuff like HDT never seems to drip and it makes me enjoy the aftermath of them a lot more.
I’m currently waiting for a fresh install of Windows to update, so I will probably hit 1.5 - 2g worth of HDT lines tonight. It’s strange, but a sniffer is the wat I seem to enjoy HDT the most. I take very few other snuffs that way.
@basement_shaman have you tried 6 Photo Cheeta yet? It is similar to Dholakia White, however, it is eaiser and much more pleasent to take. I gave up on White and decied it was a mixer a long time ago.
A far as my collecting(hoarding)- If you live in the United States, you can never have enough tobacco on hand. Epecially for a form(ie snuff) you have exactly two providers of.
@PotPoe I agree. I’m hoarding the heck out of snuff just because I never know when I’ll never be able to get it again!
Also i usually use 3 to 5 big pinches every 30 minutes. Unless it’s Sudfrucht then I shovel it in until I can’t breathe!! hahaha
With regard to hoarding…when snuffster spoke about having snuff that was 30 years old (I think ) and still in excellent shape it gave me confidence to begin to stockpile snuff. Then I think of the people with huge Pipe Tobacco cellars and cigar collections. Snuff seems easier to store and stockpile than both of those to me.
Time will tell. In the meantime I buy bulk and store in mason jars…
