Does anyone else like the tins of Viking more than the bulk? I am thinking the tins are more flavorful and moist than the tube I Purchased. I like Viking snuffs slot, but I don’t know if I should purchase a tube or a few tins. Anyone else here try both, and what are your thoughts on the two?

the tubes look like they’re not very good bulk storage devices. Like they have too much empty room.

Yes that’s what I had thought after receiving it. I emailed Andrea at Mr Snuff about it and she said she would check with the supplier. Never heard back. I think I’m just as happy to stock up on tins though.

Once the contents are appropriatly stored in a mason jar, they make a great spagettie holder.

Did you find that the Viking Dark from a tube lacked the bite and was more coconut/choclatey?

@MrNemo Although i plead ignorance in the review/scent/able to smell anthing properly dept.(i have mistaken clove for anise, fresh brewed coffe often smell of dog shite to me, etc.) I have noticed no difference form the tin to the tube; i would say smokey/earthy. Granted the stock is a year old, ordered March 8, 2012, perchance you are onto a new batch. Variations year to year, crop to crop of tobacco, are what makes snuff a bit like wine. There has been a lot on Here about the variations noticed in Grunt.

I’ve noticed no difference. I ordered the tubs as soon as they came in stock and transferred the contents to mason jars as soon as I received them. I think if you purchased a tube that had been in stock for a while it could be effected.
