I wonder what is exactly in Viking Brown, except Virginia tobacco leaves. I just can’t find any infos about its ingrendients. Say nothing of this strange tire-like taste, I observed my dog’s reaction. She usually just turns her head aside when snuff is too close to her, as well as she does with everything she doesn’t like. But every time I snuff Viking Brown she raise her head, sniffs the air and leaves the room immediately. While I get closer to her, my nose to her nose, she just starts squealing. I wonder what is so disturbing to her in Viking Brown - she has been never reacting like this to any snuff.

thats actually quite concerning.

Viertel, I haven´t tried Viking Brown, but according to what you say it sounds to me that its flavour is pretty similar to Samuel Gawith Black Rappee (although with a different base tobacco). This latter gave to me first the smell of being in a tire depot. But afterwards I definitively associate its aroma to Lithium grease. Maybe the tobacco flour catch this scent from the grease used to lubricate the antique mills´ machinery that the firm still employs to make some of their sorts (It is said that the Viking snuff line is manufactured by S. Gawith).
