How long do you think these will protect the integrity of the snuff prior to jarring?
If they are airtight, indefinitely.
I’ve never seen these tubes in person, are they air tight?

I have a tube of the Spear and the seal seems to be at least equal to the ones used by SG and GH. The lid fits tightly into the neck of the tube instead of a cap fit over a lip like the white tubs.
I have spear in 500 gram tube also, fresh as the day I received it.

Ive got one on order. That is a good price at mr snuff, for probably my number 1.
I’m not sure they have get an occasion at Viking ,but their 500g jars are precisly like a box of 5 tennis balls…But I don’t know really,there is in everycase a large place of empty that I fill for airtightness.
We can wait too Molens will finish soon their containers initialy made for spicies…In other way it’s a good reason to get 100g boxes very clean.
@ Gandalf: De Kralingse Molens have already 100 grams PP screwcap containers. Some the flavours has already been shipped to Mr. Snuff and the rest, including all our spices will follow shortly. In 2013 we will also be able to deliver in 350 or 500 grams containers.

The 500g tubes are pretty good for staying fresh but I transferred to a quart jar just to be sure.
After transfering the contents to a mason jar, i now use mine for spaghetti.
I got 500g of Viking dark and transferred mostly to mason jars for long term storage. It seems like an awfully large amount of snuff. I finally had to admit I have TAD. LOL.

Yeah, I was shocked when mine arrived too, that tiny picture on Mr. Snuff just doesn’t convey the scale at all 
No longer my noodle holder, my daughter used it as a small cannon- rocketing the top off- untill the bottom blew out.
