A friend stumbled upon a grinder (super fine pollen) and vaporizer (like and electric cigarette) for marijuana. Does anyone know if vaporizing snuff will release the nicotine, continine and menthol. want to try it as I miss sucking a cigarette (a straight line for anyone who want to take it. I will bear no ill will)

I wouldn’t recommend it. Vaporization requires some moisture and most snuffs will not have enough to work effectively. Also you could potentially inhale snuff into your lungs which will not be any good for them. If you really want to vaporize tobacco your better off finding a pouch of loose tobacco to use.

Doubt it’d work, nicotine’s boiling point is 247C, THC’s is 157C, and a cursory google-search suggests most people who vaporize marijuana actually set the temperature somewhat above that. So I’m not sure if the vaporizer could get hot enough as it’s designed for a different plant/chemical.

If you want the feeling of a cigarette, just get an e-cig. Vaping snuff seems a little pointless IMO.

Just twist up a cigarette. I do once or twice a month. I just don’t make it a habit. lungs can’t handle smoking too many decades of abuse.

Nicotine guy even confirmed my desire for the tactility of holding a cig (vaporizer) and as he said commercial ecigs are expensive (which I already knew). Now I have to say I’m somewhat conflicted by this thread. I’m in the process of trying to place smoking (both cigarette and pipe) into a position of occasional use in my life; hence the renascence in using snuff (generally considered to be the least harmful tobacco practice). I’ve distained to use a vapouriser, although I did have a go with a Gamucci when they first came out many moons previously. My reasoning for this is that essentially these devices ‘mirror’ normal smoking patterns and behaviours and thus of limited use in smoking cessation long term i.e. the behaviour doesn’t alter, just the administration of the addiction [nicotine] changes, abet to a less potentially damaging form. Now I appreciate that this probably sounds a bit negative. I do strongly support the rights of the individual in terms of liberty and personal freedom, and there is currently some disgraceful laws being passed global concerning tobacco products – Hey, when you go to buy a beer or a burger it’s not hidden from view, nor plastered with something saying “Eating/Drinking this product causes obesity and diabetes” with an appropreately gruesom picture to accompany it is there. But other than pro-choice, variety [I guess], and having to but a vaporiser if you want to go this way, I’m not sure what this adds to the world of tobacco which isn’t already covered by many other products.

The point for me is to get the most beneficial chemicals without the carcinogens. If you google “health benefits nicotine” I suggest you read the articles in Discovery and Force. At least 14 known benefits of nicotine. And with full credit to horus, menthol serves to conserve continine(?) a psychoactive drug which has particular benefits for depression. (a friend who was a VP at R.J. Reynolds told me about this years ago but didn’t identify the actual drug). Horus, again apologies. Spent over an hour at the post office which, if dante were alive, would classify as part of the 5th circle of hell. I wouldn’t compare him to a" Kramer" more like a Stephen Hawking ( minus wheelchair ) I was astonished when I seen @asieg33 credentials. His CV reads like a ladder of successive triumphs. He has lectured on intellectual topics at the finest international universities with Nobel Prize winners and a ex president of our country in attendance. Dudes a little wacky, but so was Einstein and Edison and Shakespeare. Beyond his supreme intelligence is his sense of humor, his humor is obviously written by someone who is way above par extreme intelligent. I find his humor quite entertaining, brings spark to this sometimes monotone environment.
