So my wife and I both love McChrystals O&G, and SG Zip. My wife says these remind her of Vick’s Vapo-Rub, and I certainly can’t argue. I was just curious, are there any other snuffs that remind folks of good old Vapo-Rub. I’m presuming it’s just camphor and menthol, but most things I look at have one or the other. Any other suggestions?

I believe “medicated” indicates both camphor and menthol. I could be wrong. I know J&H Wilsons #99 has numbed my face on more than one occasion.

Gawith Hoggarth’s Camphor & Menthol (CM) is supposed to be awesome. I’ve only tried their Kendal Brown. I don’t much care for menthol, so I have not tried it. Anyways, if you want something along the lines of O&G, I’d have a go at that one.

GLETCHERPRISE Extra …it is like stickin this stuff in your nose (the Vapo-Rub) - 100% medicated feeling, you start to think that it is medicine XD

Vick’s was a pretty famous head cold remedy growing up in my house. I was being prepared at a young age to partake of some of my favorite snuffs.

Ozona President comes to mind.

I find that gletcher prise is a nice menthol with a subtle kick of spice that i am unfamiliar with. must be the colombia oil. Gletcher prise extra is the same thing with pepermint added. President is menthol with complex flavors that you find in snuffs like radford premium, vrey complex and very subtle. It is a staple for an all day basic menthol snuff.

As far as Medicinal fereling snuff goes, get Radford in the 25g tin. It is not the same as radford premium, which left me very disapointed. This is the only poschl I did not like, but that does not mean others wont like it either. It is by far the most medicinally mentholated snuff I have ever sniffed.

No. 99 is the most powerful metholated that I have in my collection. I like methol, but I usually stick with O&G and often cut it with Tom Buck for daily use.

To me, SG CM is much like Vick’s.

Vick’s also, I believe contains some form of turpentine and other nasty stuff. I wouldn’t put it actually _insid_e  an orifice, especially if it might drain down the back of your throat. Menthol, camphor, and eucalyptus oils are available for purchase.

@Mr.O actually naturally manufactured turpentine has been used on curing infections etc but that industrial turpentine is totally different product. that’s a bizzarre idea, -turpentine snuff! perhaps spiked with some serious amount of campher!?

It might be what’s in Bernard’s Fichtennadel, turpentine, and if that’s the case, it’s good! I call it essence of pine.

Interesting, wasn’t aware of that. Is there any info about it used in orifices? I’d still be cautious with some of those substances personally- but maybe I’m too cautious sometimes…

Pine needles, turpentine ? pine-sol ? that is a whole new thread. Every time I hit the head at home depot I think someone spilled 250 grams of viking spear. It’s just the urinal cakes, kind of ruins the viking spear for me. BRUTAL
