Ummm Snuff Online from US Website...Yeah I Think so.

Well I was about to make a pipe tobacco order for Smokingpipes.com and well it seems that you can still order nasal snuff from them as they use UPS and not USPS. Not as large a selection as nicotinerush, mr. snuff. etc but still I can’t be the only person who has stumbled upon this.

Nice site. I have a slight interest in pipes and cigars, but I live in a smokefree home, and don’t like the idea of having to sit on the porch, so I haven’t pursued it. The occasional Djarum or cigg is all I do.

Tom 502, Beware. Although pipe SMOKING is probably the most economical way of smoking tobacco, there is a rather large, and in some cases, permanent acquisition period, which could be greatly inflated and complicated by forum reading, and can become very expensive, in the long and even, short term. SMOKING can evolve into COLLECTING, which we all know can evolve into an OBSESSION. lol On the other hand, a Missouri Meerschaum cob pipe is a very cheap and excellent smoker, and a tin of tobacco is comparable to an entire box of 20 full-size cigars, in terms of actual smoking time.

I don’t think I’ll do it.

I’d love to buy a pipe just to try the 1792 pipe tobacco, I just don’t think my wife would be too happy about that one. I know cigars are exempt from the PACT, Isn’t pipe tobacco exempted as well?

I think Pipe is exempt. Fortunately I never have to order pipe tobacco as we have such a great tobacconist walking distance from my office. Ken

I’ve noticed that all of you are only seeing that you can buy Pipe Tobacco on Smokingpipes.com but the reason I made this thread was to highlight ones ability to still purchase snuff from them.

1792 is a very tasty pipe tobacco! Shame I have none on hand at the moment… :frowning:

@giaach : mmm speaking of pipes, i should get me some GL Pease from there… lol no seriously has anybody tried to place a SNUFF order with them? did it it worked? Ra.

My first couple of snuff orders were from them and I received them no problem, but I’m in Canada. All my snuff seemed fresh except the GH tins were real old. They were caked in dust and all bone dry, even the ones that are supposed to be moist so don’t buy GH snuff from them.

I don’t see why you couldn’t buy snuff from SmokingPipes.com, as long as it is shipped via UPS. AFAIK, PACT only applies to USPS shipments, and even there enforcement appears to be quite lax. And yes, pipe tobacco seems to be exempt from the ban. I’m not sure that shops like Mars Cigars and pipesandcigars.com would be able to stay in business without their online sales, a lot of which is from pipers, and they seem to be surviving.

PSS, you bring a good point, but let’s not forget about the FDA. Non of them (English snuff) has been approved yet.

Well I just made a pipe tobacco order from them including some Gawith & Hoggart Jockey Club and some F&T Santo Domingo. Sould be here on monday, Ill let you know about the snuffs. F%$@ PACT ha!

it seems tho they have a bunch of out of stock items… hey let us know please how did the G&H was…n9inchnails stated that his GH was real old… Ra.

@bipolarbear1968: So in the meantime, we continue to order from UK snuff vendors, and give the one-finger salute to both the FDA and Congress. Maybe one day they’ll realize the folly of forcing US citizens to send their hard-earned dollars overseas.

What they rake in from ciggs at the local gas stations makes the few snuffs ordered from overseas like pennies on the street.

@PSS- Yep, that’s right! …and still have it delivered via USPS. I don’t give the feds/postal service enough credit to know their a-holes from their elbows.

If they are not collecting tobacco tax for your state, they are breaking the law. I’m sure its all old stock there anyway, when its gone, they will probably not be able to replenish it. I don’t know why anyone bitches about the FDA requirement at all. I also seriously doubt that their rules apply to specialty imports.

I can’t see how they can enforce the FDA requirement or PACT when it comes to overseas vendors without violating international trade agreements. But of course, it wouldn’t be the first time the Feds have ignored international law when it suited them to do so. The question is, IMO, do they want to devote the manpower and tax dollars? Somehow, I just can’t see anything more than token enforcement happening.

@PSS- My guess is… it’s gonna be business as usual with the English vendors anyway. Just my theory is all.
