Part One: I noticed that Leman recently posted that Green’s of Leeds would no longer ship to the U.S. due to credit card rules. This was in connection with an attempted bulk order of some Sam Gawith snuffs. I am also interested in acquiring some 1/2 pound or pound drums of SG snuff, but have been unable to find an English retailer than a) carries SG snuffs in bulk and b) will ship to the U.S. Does anyone here know of one? Part Two: I love Snuffstore.co.uk. I have ordered from them a couple of times now and have had exemplary service each time. I know Tim reads/posts here now and then. Tim, any chance you could add SG bulk to your offerings? Perhaps a special order option, like Mr. Snuff has with the Wilson’s bulk? As far as I can tell, Snuffstore is the only English retailer still shipping to the U.S. I have a feeling that I am not the only American snuffer who would be interested if bulk quantities of SG snuff were made available…
I think you answerd your own question. I think most retailers will do special orders if they can get it. Since Samuel Gawith has limited sales in the US now (only four flavors) I guess you’d have to go with a UK company. Write and ask Tim, or write and ask Samuel Gawith. I know they sell in bulk to UK residents at least. Alternatly, get a buddy in the UK to act as proxy for you.
@ Xander Strangely enough, I don’t think I did answer my own question. The first question, after all, was if anyone knew of an English retailer that stocks SG bulk and is willing to ship to the U.S.? I don’t pretend to be familiar with every English retailer that has a website, so I thought I would ask around and see if anyone knew of any. And yes, I am sure that I could ask both Tim and SG about a one-off special order, but I would like to avoid that if possible in favor of being able to order through a convenient online checkout procedure. That is why I asked if there might be any interest in having that as an option on the Snuffstore website. Hence also my mention of the similar mechanism on the Mr.Snuff website. I don’t know if you are familiar with what I was referencing, but at Mr. Snuff (and Mars for that matter) one can just go ahead and order bulk quantities of Wilson’s snuffs through the regular checkout. These snuffs are then special ordered by the retailer, and sent out when received. This seems to me to be a much more convenient procedure for the customer than having to make special arrangements every time one wants to make an order.
