Two different Wilsons of Sharrow labels on the tins

Why do they do it? The one where the label covers the whole lid wears off easily and the other one is very durable.

It looks like the tins are of a slightly different design, shape wise I mean on the lid. Perhaps that’s why they use the different labels? But as long as the snuff inside is top notch!!!

If you want to protect your labels ,Buy clear spray paint and give them a few coats ,letting them dry between coats will insure them lasting for years. I use snuffboxes; My labels get peeled off and stuck onto the jars I decant them into.

Is there a photo attached to my post? I can’t see it.

Yes, I see them - Grand Cairo and a faded French Carotte

I think they changed the labelling a little while ago - the tin on the left is rather newer than the tin on the right.

Interesting. I ordered the French Carotte last month.

I wouldn’t worry too much, the French Carotte seems to last well.

It’s gone, I took my last pinch the day before yesterday. It seemed fresh when I got it.
