Who uses the twist method more than blowing to clear the nose? I blow lightly and then twist the tissue, place it in the nostril, and lightly turn pressing upwards. I repeat using the other side of the tissue in the other nostril. I find that I usually don’t even blow first, but out of habit sometimes do. I gives me a nice clean slate when switching over to a totally different snuff. I sometimes even use the finger tip press method instead of a blow before twisting.

I use to but, I noticed some blood on it from time to time so I tried to limit it.

Yeah… I do see a little blood from time to time; and when it does show up it is just a little. Great point though.

M

I get the same problem as well!

M

Yup, I do it. No blood, so I’ve got that going for me.

I have done this for years. It works quite well for me but I wet the tissue slightly beforehand. It works better and is less irritating. I only do it occasionally but I have had no negative effects at all.

I

Ohh the wet tissue sounds lovely. I do it some times at work but, it was never on purpose. Just every time I wash my hands after using the restroom I would wipe my nose a little with the towel I just used to dry my hands.

Have you ever had a bad morning, taken a break, and read something that put you in a good mood again? Imagining all of you with twisted hankie-bits shoved up your noses did it for me. And I thank you all. And, proving that this post was taken in the spirit in which it was intended, I’ll try it later.

Your welcome!

Blowing always - always - clogs me up, which is the bane of enjoying snuff. I’ll have to try twisting rather than my usual method of menthol blasting to clear the proverbial deck.
