Hello all! Im travelling from Canada to Italy for a bit more than I month. i plan to take snus , snuff and some pipe tobacco with me ( a tin or two). I looked on Italian customs site , and it mentioned that up to 250 grams of soking tobacco is accepted as duty free. Since snus and snuff are smokeless, what would be the accepted amount to take ? Thanks!

I don’t know about Italy precisely but in general when the customs says that the duty free limit of tobacco or smoking tobacco is 250 grams, that means the weight of all kinds of tobacco you carry with you is 250 grams whether it’s snus or pipe tobacco or snuff or whatever.

200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250 g of tobacco/snuff. That’s what’s in the Polish law, but that must be for the all UE.
