I was just wondering. Has anybody ever had any problems traveling(flying) with snuff. I am just thinking in the future if I go through an airport with a few snuffboxes or tins of unmarked powder I may get into some difficulties
This question comes up with some regularity. The consensus seems to be that–perhaps surprisingly-- no one has any trouble, domestic or international.
Never had a prob flying US to US a few times with it on my person…
Some countries on the Persian gulf may give you problems, like Saudi Arabia.
I had my carry on flagged in Denver (photog equipment) and they also decided to pull my checked for good measure. They asked what the tins were but didn’t make any fuss other than that.
You have to remember the amount of people and substances seen by customs officers - they are well aware of what tobacco looks and smells like. Apart from anything else snuff would never fail a drugs field-test. I’ve never had any comments apart from ‘where can I get it as I want to quit smoking’. Travel with confidence.

I’ve flown to different places within the USA with snuff in my checked and carry on bag. Never once had an issue with it.
yeah they gotta see a lot strange things. Also many smokers I know (well a few) will use snuff at times they can’t smoke so you’re not the first person to bring snuff on a plane.
I understand that this thread as been up for awhile, however, when I moved to Arizona I placed my collection into my checked luggage and had absolutely no issues.
