I received a small sample of Toque W & H…delicious snuff; even without nicotine it can be addicting. But I noticed that the throat drip seemed to be slighlty ‘gritty’. I detected what seemed to be a sand-like, granular material in the phlegm as I cleared my sinuses and back of throat. The other Toque samples I received,Original and Spanish Gem, did not have this grittiness in the drip. Has anyone else experienced this ?
I get a similar thing with many snuffs. Some are “sandy”. I have a W&H, but I haven’t snuffed it in a while.
Toque W&H is one of my daily snuffs. I find it sometimes clumps up a bit (very infrequently and it might be due to my carrying it around in a glass vial) but I’m able to smooth it out before taking. Never experienced a gritty drip myself.
I do not recall having a gritty drip from any snuff. Then again I shovel so much up my nose I doubt I even give myself time to notice any drip either lol.
Maybe you’ve left it sitting for to long and now the honey has crystallised. And all the whisky evaporated !!
I just took my first pinch of Whiskey&Honey… WOW! How delicious! I can see that this one will be chain-snuffable!
That is my fave “toast” of the Toques.
I go back and forth between W & H and Bourbon.
Oh yeah, T & M too!
All three Toque toasts are essential to me, with W&H being my go-to daily snuff - I ALWAYS have some with me. Haven’t experienced the gritty drip yet though. (Oh dear, another for the out of context quote thread, I think! lol)
LOL! Gritty drip…OUCH! Hurts just thinking about it!
Yes, it really is very painful.
Never experienced nasty or gritty drip with any Toque snuff. Poschl Lowen-Prise is excellent for a very nasty drip experience (in my opinion) - over do this one and you may find yourself hacking up brown spit.
Eeww TMI. lol I’ve never noticed any “grit” in any of their products.
Roderick, please see #5…can that be the reason?
@Pieter re: #5 Since I don’t know the history of this sample, it may be a possibility. Being a free sample, I certainly can’t complain and am grateful to the provider for it. And it’s certainly not going to discourage me from ordering a tin of it next week.
Maybe pour your sample out in a plate or an extra tin, and take a spoon and mash it around.
