as a smoker wanting to leave the cancer sticks behind im intrigued by ‘quit’, think its safe to say I will be steering clear of the cheese and bacon lol

@chris_lover_of_snuff You won’t have any problems w/ Toque. Um, unless you count ordering too much snuff. Every one they make is worth a try, and most are worth a bulk purchase.

i know I would order everyone of them if i could but think the mrs would kill me. i started with 2 tins of snuff for a laugh about 6 months ago the house is now littered with the stuff there is snuff in every room. saying that she doesnt complain when i remind that ive gone from 40 cigarettes a day to 4-6 max through snuff.

The Whisky & Honey is amazing. Also the Spanish Gem, but definitely get Quit if you’re trying to stop smoking.

The Whiskey and Honey is that good … Quit, not so much, but that’s my opinion only. To me, it struck me as grassy … purists love it I think, and I think the majority favors it … I think the nic release/uptake is better in Quit, but snuff enough of anything and you will get good nic. I am with Toffeenose (hey Deb!) WH and Spanish Gem are tasty, as are nearly all of Roderick’s concoctions!

your set on high nic with Quit then … and yeah, have had Cheese and Bacon … many have. That is a real love it or hate it snuff … i found it pretty good in small doses … plus, you gotta try CB once!

Cheese and bacon is the only Toque I’ve tried so far. It’s not bad, you shouldn’t write it off just by the way it sounds. I’ll be ordering a tin of each as soon as I can afford it all in one shot.

The last order got here to the states in about a week and a half. Placed another one today that has, among other things, 400 grams of Spanish Gem (Gawd, you can do that stuff all day-nice nic hit too) and a 200 gr. Original. I might not be smart, but I sure know how to have fun… 8-}

Buying two tins seems a waste of postage even in the UK. Go for the 10 for 9 deal. Even if there are two you don’t like its still a bargain. I’m in the US and have ordered from Toque a half dozen times or so with no problems and short wait times. Good seller, good maker, responsive to customer concerns (Its more or less a one man operation you see, and the one man is a member here with a reputation to uphold.)

yeah I have yet to hear a bad review of toque@s shipping, customer service etc. they are based just up the road from me I found out today. im going to go for the 10 for 9 deal tommorrow

@chris_lover_of_snuff, I’ve not ordered straight from Toque, but i have recently (1.5 weeks) given up the cigarettes. Good luck with it, the snuffs sure smell better once the cigs go away!

@peteTchantz, thanks. i havent tried to give up yet i just smoke when i want but ive come down from over 40 cigs a day to between 4-6, and im finding that I dont get the same satisfaction from cigs as I do with snuff. im loving the ritual of tapping the tin, taking a pinch and enjoying the nic hit and deciphiring the scent

@chris_lover_of_snuff I’m right there with you on enjoying the snuff. Got to the point where I just really didn’t want a cig anymore - just the habitual times holding on. I haven’t had any problem laying them down and switching to snuff full time. Only down side is my pipes are neglected now If you are still looking for the nic hit, you should be able to find it pretty easily. Viking Dark certainly does it for me, as well as the High Dry Toasts.

@PeteTschantz have you had the toque quit?

@chris_lover_of_snuff, no I haven’t although it is on the list. Sorry, didn’t mean to hijack the Toque thread. I’ve had the Berwick Brown (which I really like) and a couple others. Not the Quit though.

I only order directly from Toque, can’t fault the speed and customer service from them.

I made an order for 10 for 9 tins direct from their website and it was here the next day. so quick I ordered it at midnight and it was showing up as order completed when I checked at 9am. Its amazing stuff too, really fresh, I heard some bad reviews of the violet however, I love it. violet with a bit of quit and im happy. @PeteTschantz, I know what you mean about the berwick brown, good stuff indeed.

I dont waste my time with anything less than the large economy bag, in fact, I keep harassing them to make a ginormous economy bag. All in all they are great, great product, great customer service, but small bags
