Medium fine and dry. A toast made out of rustica tobacco. There is an aroma of whiskey and honey added (obviously). It is, however, mild and very well rounded. I think it’s a really good, masculine scent. As it’s not strong and long lasting, you get a great amount of the toasted base tobacco smell. The nicotine level in this one is very high, the highest I’ve experienced so far. If you like toasts and want a snuff that will get your head spinning, give it a try!
My 50g USA Whiskey and Honey is suuuuuuper sweet. Far too sweet for me. The scent lasts all day long too, through many other snuffs. I’ll take one bump at 8am, and smell the ‘honey’ the NEXT MORNING. I wonder if my batch is abnormal, or is this a case of YSMV? (Your Schnoz May Vary)
The 50g economy bag I got is very sweet also, much sweeter than any other snuff I’ve tried over the last few years. I like it though, I like it a lot.
I too have a bulk sack of this snuff that is way different than the tins, and I have to say I don’t care too much for the sweeter bulk recipe. I wonder why the difference?
Glad to hear I’m (perhaps) not crazy. This is my first experience with the Whiskey and Honey scent and I was taken aback. It’s so popular with everyone that I thought my nose must be broken.
Yes, I can add to this. I have bought several tins and a 100 gr bulk a while a go. There was rustic up front with a slight whiskey and barely noticeable honey scent. Very good I have ran through almost all of it. My newest Toque order was 400 gr and the honey is way, way out in front, then the whiskey and the rustic is not that noticeable. I have about 10 gr. left of the 100 gr bulk and it is a slightly darker color. I thought perhaps it was do to oxidation. At any rate my point here is that it is not a different recipe for the bulk or the tins it is batch variation that has come into play. I am sure someone with more expertise than me can weigh in on this but my best guess is batch variation and I too hope that the older batch comes back. It would have been my “If you could have only one snuff” answer.
I received a small tin from a friend and the only smell I get is smokey. No honny and no whiskey unless it’s a salty smokey Irish whiskey
