Allow me to preface by saying that this isn’t a complaint. This snuff has been my all day choice and it will continue to be. I fell in love with this stuff when I bought a 10g tin at a local shop. It resrmbled a scotch at that time. Fine and dry. My next purchase was a 200g bag that appeared different. Darker, Visible stem material, coarser grind. My latest order, a 400g bag, appears to be more like the 10g tin. It seems to be much finer and much more dry than my last order. The aroma out of the package is just as pleasant as always, but the texture and appearance are different. I know that a slight variance is to be expected, but this appears to have gone through a different mill entirely. Once again, not a complaint. It’s simply an observation and a question.
@Roderick Thanks for the response. I didn’t know which was the proper grind. the tin I bought locally was old by the shop owners admission, so I figured the recipe might have changed or it had just dried out. I actually grew quite fond of the coarser grind over the last few months. It only took a day to adjust back to the fine stuff. This flavor accounts for 90% of my snuff intake. I’ll never grow tired of it.
It’d be nice to have a special once off coarser grind snuff for some of these lovely snuffs, I’d love to see a limited edition Coarse Grind Spanish Gem
^ you can get Roderick to make it for you but I think the minimum order for a custom snuff is 400g. I got him to make me the opposite of what you want, a normally coarse grind snuff (Camphor and Clove) made with a Quit base (like Spanish Gem and SP Extra) I call it Camphor & Clove Extra.
That is sweet!!!I’d like some rustica a bit coarser.
Is it only for 400g?
Yep theres a 400g or 500g minimum for custom snuffs and prices and wait times vary depending on what you want
That’s awesome I never knew that, 500g is quite a bit. Maybe when I get alittle more money I could afford a larger bulk order though not sure if 500g would get passed customs unchecked
@Roderick would you potentially be able to make up bulk and send it off in 3 or 4 installments?
Damn, that is a long time. Luckily, my orders arrive in 5-7 business days here in Florida. Hopefully I don’t experience wait times like that!
