Emergency! My 25gr tin of toque toast and marmalade simply wont open no matter how hard I try! Do you have any suggestions as to how to open it? so far I tried with paper on top of my hands so there can be friction but it wouldn’t budge an inch

i wouldve ripped the top open with something sharp, nothing gets between me and my snuff.

See this I have never heard of a Toque tin behaving in such a manner. However, I have had some issues with the 5 gram SD tap boxes. One moment it is effectively opening and closing, the next it is stuck shut.
Hopefully you will not need to go FUBAR SNAFU on it. Anyone who has ever tried to open one of those snuff tins knows what I am talking about.
@Roderic, I think that it has to do with the material beenmade from metal. These days have been like summer here, and I had that tin in my jacket with me for most of the day. Once it cooled , I could open it again. But before that I was trying for a good 3 hours.

My toque tins get stuck from time to time. I use my thumb nail and get in between the top and bottom and pry just a little in a couple spots and they always free rite up.
Yes ive trashed two cans now after they lock shut.i think some of the problem is snuff getting on the threads and making it hard to open.keep threads clean it helps.sws tins seem much smoother to unscrew though.
Toque tins cross thread easily and a cross threaded tin doesn’t want to twist open, its best to pry them open.
