I have a good pinch in each nostril as I am typing this, and trying hard to work out what those flavours are ? Its earthy, almost a farm yard undertone (in a nice way) then a sweeter lingering light citrus, florally menthol… wonderful, a complex snuff. Would love to have tried the fabled Spanish Jewel. Wish I could breath in for longer… Give me a clue @Roderick‌

There’s already a lot of speculation about this. Just do a search in the upper right corner and continue in a thread you like. http://snuffhouse.org/search?Search=Toque+spanish+gem Please don’t take this the wrong way, but one of the reasons I like this forum so much because the old threads really never die when new discussion of the same topic always revive them. This one looks promising to me: http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/6654/what-is-in-spanish-gem

Thank you, no offence taken … I will search and add the end of a current thread next time

They are very similar. I can get S Brandy here in my little town at local smoke shop, so I don’t have to order the SG from the UK. But I first had the SG several years ago and loved it. Great snuff.

@Derek_007‌, at the very least, your post inspired me to get a long ignored tin of SG out of the fridge for a pinch. Good stuff, isn’t it? But I don’t get the flavours you do. More vanilla, brandy, hint of chocolate, something musky. One of the best of the Toque range.

D

I would go with you nose more than mine… I have only been taking snuff for a few weeks so jumping around 10 different Toque samples as well as Mull of Oa and CoC … I dare say there is more than one flavour in my nose a time … Its the something musky that interests me…

J

Maybe sherry rather than brandy? That sounds Spanish enough.

S

I really like the Toque version. Very nice.

In my very limited experience I found this to be my go-to snuff. I bought it based upon the reviews and I’m very pleased with it. I cant’ really put my finger on the dominant flavors and smells it has.

@Roderick Maybe we should take a few weeks out in Spain, with some Tobacco leaves and large amounts of Brandy… Happy to come along and give you a hand Likewise @atlacatl I have this on hand each day

@Roderick‌, is it correct that SG basically uses the Quit base, like SP Extra (which I’ve never tried - on my list for my next order)?
