Hi guys, I am about to place my first large order with Mistersnuff and need some advice. My favourite so far is Toque Spanish Gem and after trying some cherry and cola samples from a friend have decided natural or warm & musty style snuffs are for me. After doing a lot or research around here I like the idea of Viking dark so that is already on the list but what else? I also like high nic snuffs and grind doesn’t really bother me. The other item definitely on the list from Mistersnuff is Thunder Frosted Chew. I love this stuff, stop ordering it everyone so I can order more!!! Lol. I have some handmade snuff to pass around if anyone is interested. It is made with aged pipe tobacco that is custom blended buy an Australian tobacconist for my grandfather. It’s quite nice so let me know if you would like some.

If you like natural snuffs, you could order F&T HDT which is a plain toast, Toque Whiskey & Honey, a flavoured toast, Gawith Hoggarth or Sam Gawith plain Kendal Brown, and perhaps Viking Brown and Blonde. For high nic, Dholakia Black and NTSU might also suit your tastes. Good luck and have fun trying out as many snuffs as you can!
Toque Quit is also high nic and tasty. Old Paris isn’t particularly high nic but has a nice leathery quality to it.
I forgot to mention I have a 10g tin of whiskey & honey. I have to admit at first I wasn’t a fan but after decanting it into a glass jar and just keeping a days worth in the tin it has really grown on me.

Nice to have another Aussie on the forum (i’m only guessing as to your comment about the pipe tobacco). There arn’t many snuffer’s Down under from what i’ve seen. Hell, people give me strange looks when i smoke a pipe in public here! Try any SP in 25g from Samuel Gawith. The freshness will blow you away. Good luck on your snuff discovery adventures. P.S. if you are an Aussie, customs has not as yet taxed any snuff i have brought in via std first class mail.
Hi BigNose, thanks for the tips, I’m thinking of adding SG Elmos Reserve to the list. I like the sound of that. Where are you located? I’m in Brisbane and in my travels working in most states have never met another sniffer. I did work with an Irish dude one who smoked a pipe, had a massive stem on it. Looked really cool, Never tried it though.
Western District, Victoria. I guess since they banned all smokless tobacco’s here in OZ 25 odd years ago it has meant that almost no-one snuffs and the rare few like us have been able due to the internet. A real shame as it is a great way to quit the smokes. Cheers.
I’d recomend Toque Natural, for a good warm Natural snuff, That snuff is a work of art, I hear that it’s the same as Quit but I have both now and I’d give the nod to Natural. Slightly lower in Nic than the Quit, that can be a good thing, allowing you to do a little more. Always best to decant a day or twos worh and let the amonia dissapate.

I forgot the F&T’s, seems they’d all fall into the neutral to warm range, though many are strongly scented. Less scented would be Old Paris(nice, moist, smooth, mellow, soothing, balm-like to me), unscented-Irish High Toast. I’d be reluctant to recommend others of their line in that many are “love 'em or hate 'em” type products and one would be well advised to check out descriptions and reviews of them first.

I received a delivery yesterday from Mr Jaap Bes @ Molens De Kralingse and after trying Macuba can’t seem to put it down. I never thought I would like a perfume style scent these type of smells usually bring on a migraine. With Macuba however this is not the case. It takes me straight back to laying on the living room floor at my grandparents house during winter, and compared to my Toque products the scent last quite a while. The funny thing is I decided to try some Toques again today and they smell completely different. Even the cherry menthol has more of a musty smell than I noticed earlier. I love them even more now, the contrast between the two styles is an excellent snuffing experience. Oh gingerbread & choco (Virginia based) rock also.
SG Dr. Verey’s Full is very nice and warming, F&T HDT, and Hedges are my recommendations. Enjoy!
