Toque Rustica

Is anyone else loving the nic hit [or shold I say nic trip] of the Rustica like I am? Ive tried no other snuff that even comes remotely close to this, even Willie Pete while absolutely brutal to take doesn’t pack this kind of punch. To make it even better the Rustica is actually pleasant to take.I better go order some more before its all gone.

I’ve always been curious to try some rustica snuff but haven’t had the chance yet. Does Toque sell a rustica blend? I haven’t seen it anywhere. Abraxas Dragun is one I’ve really been wanting to try but it’s usually out of stock when I order. Where do you order yours from @outlawmobile? I’d definitely like to try some soon.

I purchased mine directly from Toque. It is I believe pure Rustica.

I just received my 50g bag. the first pinch made my head spin in a not-unpleasant way. The scent reminded me very much of W.E. Garrett, with far less smokiness. I am quite surprised at how good it is to snuff all on it’s own. After being in the nose for a few minutes hints of hay/alfalfa start to come out, along with a leathery undertone. Now the drip is something else, quite strong and stings the back of the throat, not too bad if you have a drink near by. After blowing it out of the nose, a woody, earthy scent lingers, all the while the Nic is NOT subsiding…This is strong!

The buzz from rustica is indeed unique and rather wonderful.

haven’t been to the toque site for a while. is fine available again? guess i could just look. me stupid

was when i checked a couple days ago haha. i hope some is available of both after christmas.

When you guys received your Toque Rustica in the mail did the bag have a label/sticker on it that said “Limited Edition”? I just want to make sure I got the right snuff. Thanks.

@md363 yes it did. Roderick uses it as a generic label for non-production trials etc. Same label on Crazy George.

@Mouse thanks. I knew the Crazy George had that label which made me wonder if I got the wrong snuff. And by the way, after sampling what was in the bag I figured it had to be the Rustica because it was so strong.

Going to order one bag of the fine grind and one of the coarse tomorrow morning .just wondered which one you guys prefere ?

@inluvwithtobacco I have read that the finer the grind the faster the nicotine gets to you and more nicotine will get to you as well. So that’s why I ordered the fine grind but if you want a less intense N hit you might want to go for the coarse grind. I haven’t heard that the scent is any different between the two grinds. Enjoy it when it arrives and let us know what you think of it.

So very happy my rustica 50g is finally ordered and shipped now gotta play the waitning game. in a week or so i’ll weigh in but i suspect I’m going to be very pleased.

ok md363 I will keep you posted I should get it Saturday so will let you all know what I think and if I don’t get on with the coarse I will just use it to pep up some pipe tobaccos . If that is at all poss ?

Got my rustica today and all I can say is wow its just what I have been looking for the coarse is a really nice flavor but the fine wow its fantastic

I read somewhere [Toque website???] that the Rustica could be smoked but with caution.Im guessing one would not want to roll up a cigarette or pack a pipe full of pure Rustica…it might blow ones head off.

I just received my order from Toque and am quite pleased- so much so I promptly went on and wrote a review.

Its nice- an earthy tone, easy to take and certainly lives up to the warning of high N content.

Agree @SgtJon

I received mine too and it certainly packs a punch, I have a considerable nicotine tolerance (used to take ultra strong thunder snus all day ) but I certainly felt the nicotine after one pinch.

I intend to use it as a mixer with those snuffs whose aroma I love but lack the nic to satisfy me.

Anyway I must echo the words from Roderick and proceed with caution, this is not a bland in nicotine Poschl snuff to take without thinking.

Warnings of caution merely increase my desire to try it. I honestly would have put a 50g bag in my recent Toque order, if only my poor wallet could sustain such hedonism…

@Nulliverse

Indeed, I know that all the hype with the potency of the rustica can lead to a lot of people to want to try it, it is not bad as long as they know that is something that must be handled with some care.

You can still have a bit of a taste since the Whiskey & honey (USA) has some rustica in it, you have some, don’t you?
