Toque packs more

Toque snuff tins come with more snuff than any other brand. Open up a new tin of any Toque and pour out the snuff, then try to put it back in again! I’ve just now opened a fresh tin of Tom Buck which was filled to the brim. But… compress the snuff and it only half fills the tin. Toque is compressed already, seems as if it’s packed under pressure where as the other brands just pour the snuff in. So, even more value for your money. Any other members who agree with this??

My Wilsons tins have been variable. But I think alot has to do with the grind and moisture. You’re really paying for the weight not the volume. But who knows how they are filling the tins. I have no complaints with Toque, that’s for sure.

I agree, Pieter - even if you buy a mini-bullet from Toque the snuff inside is compressed so much that you have to take quite a bit out to be able to use it.

A well-packed container excludes as much air as possible, and this must help keep the snuff fresh. When I fill a snuffbox, I always cram in as much as possible.

Agree

i guess the only way to tell would be to way it out on a digital scale, which i plan to do just for kicks this summer when i get one for my farmers market stand.

get 'em cheap @ radio shack.

thanks nightcap

I have 2 nice digital gold scales that can definitely measure it precisely, but the problem is I don’t have any new full tins of any snuff. bigblue1, I also have a nice salter kitchen scale, 1g - 3kg
