I would like to now how many of you ladies and gentlemen use Toque Original and how often. When I first tried this snuff, the citrus flavour was a bit to much for me and I put it aside for quite a while. Then, when I tried it again, I liked it. When I tried it again, I liked it more and now, I like it a lot!!! I use a very small pinch at a time which means I can use it all day long without having to blow my nose. Can Original be classed as a SP snuff?
Original is definitely an SP. Must say I’m rather keen on it myself.
Pieter, for some reason I had a similar experience. At this point I love this blend, and can take big bumps of it, and like you say it is easy on the nose, even my nose. I’m running low on it though, and it will definitely be on my next order.
I really only like it alot when mixed about half and half with toque menthol. Otherwise I like the other S.P. I have tried a little bit just enough better to buy them instead. Though for some reason the menthol addition really makes this snuff rock the house in my opinion.
Funny, I loved it at first and used it so much I burnt out on it. I gave it a couple weeks rest and am back to using it daily. Is it me or does this one pack more punch than most other Toque products? Roderick wrote that all his snuff’s have a similar nicotine content.
I thought McChrystals Mild Lemon pushed Original out of place as my #1 favourite. But, taking this wonderful snuff from my silver snuff box, convinced me once again that Toque Original is my "take to the island " snuff. It satisfies completely and I never get tired of it.
its funny how taste changes over time… at first i thought this was an ok snuff for me… not something i would take daily but now i like it and if i add a touch of toque menthol i just love it… my key chain vial i just got is filled with 2 parts original and 1 part menthol…
Love the Original. It has a way of growing on you. I also get the same way about Natural and Quit. Tho Original reminds me of characteristics of other snuffs, there is nothing else like it.
This is a very good SP, one of the best and the bergamot scent is just right, like SP ought to be.
i,d say that Toque original is definately an sp snuff, it was the first sp i tried and now ive got more sp snuff by different brands than any other flavour.
I love it. Original was my first non American snuff, was really my first nasal snuff, not counting an very brief try of W.E. Garrett 20 years ago. ( One pinch and I was done). Toque original is one of only two snuffs I’ve ever bought in bulk. My snuffbox has Toque Original or Tom Buck in it 4-5 days a week. Hard to choose my favorite between the two. I use Tom Buck a bit more, but it’s close.
It was my first SP, and though I haven’t had it for a long time, I still remember it well. I drained the 10 gram tin in a matter of days as a newbie snuffer. If I didn’t have a half pound of Tom Buck sitting on my shelf, I’d pick up more. I might do it anyways, come to think about it.
Been in freezer for five years and now taking a sniff. WOOW! Remember it like the day I received it. Kept in kerr jar and zip lock bag with others from Toque and all seem to have not changed at all as for quality. Really liking the toast & marmalade as go to as almost out of the natural toast… I will need to order some more including some new flavors soon.
@nicmizer Welcome to snuffhouse. Toque gets plenty of action here; I was just going to revisit Original and Toque Natural. Natural toast is great too. Almond toast is a must have
What toast of Toque is the most natural taste closest to natural toast? Have only tryedt the toast & marmalade and very old st. Clements that is stale with some flavor.
@nicmizer Toque does make a natural toast snuff but somehow the Almond Toast seems most like the really good toasts I enjoy (Wos #22, F&T HDT & GH Irish D).
@nicmizer Lime toast is good ,whisky & honey is awesome. Haven’t explored the Toque USA versions; but I hear good things about them.
I like Original but then if I take a pinch of SP Extra, original is a dim memory. Maybe k need to spend some more time with it.
I use it the most… I don’t really get the citrus smell, just a hint but my snuff palette is not good yet. Or maybe I am not doing enough of it…
