I apologize if this subject has been discussed before…I searched a little and came up empty handed. I was just wondering if any ‘scientific analysis’ has been conducted on Toque (or any other) snuffs. I know the TSNA levels have been analyzed, but I was curious about the amount of nicotine in each average sized pinch. One reason I am curious is because I originally thought that Toque Champagne was on the weaker side as far a nicotine. However, I have recently discovered that this is one of the few snuffs that I use that actually makes my palms sweaty and I get a heightened sense of alertness, side effects of nicotine I believe. I don’t even use that much either, one pinch per nostril every couple hours. Trust me, I am not complaining about the side effects, just wanted to know. I also use snus and nicotine content is listed, sometimes right on the can.
Funny you should mention the sweaty palms. Since taking snuff I noticed that within a minute of taking a pinch I get sweaty palms. Plays havoc with my piano playing! It would be interesting to find out nicotine content. I am sure a chemist could easily determine nicotine at home?
