I suggested in another thread that Toque should really begin production of a coarse, black, moist snuff like Prince’s. If they did they could call it Toque “Ebony.” Then they could produce an ultra fine, very light snuff and call it Toque “Ivory.” Put it in special all black or all white tins and sell it for the same price as Hedges. I can’t believe I’m not getting paid for this!

I really think Roderick has to be deluged by input and suggestions. hahaha!

J

No way! That dude can multitask.

B

His magic elves are legion. So try dumping as many snuff projects on them as you want.

E

Just buy a tonquin bean and put it in some plain snuff. Or grind up some SG 1792 Flake (aka Cob Flake). I think there is tonquin in their Cob Dark snuff.

X

Hmmm, I will make a Tonka Toque later with some of my bulk Quit. I had great results with Hollandse Bolongaro.

E

That’s what snuff is!

X

Its like magic!

T

That was already done with the source tobacco.

I’m curious too as to exactly what grinders people are using too, just ‘burr grinder’ (something I saw elsewhere as a partial tip)just wasn’t a very helpful guide I am afraid… I need something that will let me grind snuff to super fine without exploding or burning up its motor (I’m pretty sure i am killing my $2 coffee bean grinder this way, it gets relay hot, stuff gets stuck in it, cant tear it apart to see where more stuff might be hiding in it etc) To make really finely ground snuff, are people using handheld hand grinder ‘burr grinders’ or are they using electrical ones, models and costs and a bit more specifics please, someone?

P

Please check the topic “Making your own snuff”. You will find everything you want to know there.

W

Okay, I thought I looked there before but I will look again and more carefully, thanks (and sorry for derailing here a bit) sorta back on topic: Ebony and Ivory (in addition to being a good song by Sir James Paul McCartney and Stevie Woreally nder) also sounds like a great idea for Roderick/Toque to take up as his/their "answer to Dholakia Black and “Dholakia White” and I think Roderick/Togue could really do it would be perfect fo them to do (I also hope Toque does some NTSU type snuffs as well, time to branch out!)

P

@whistler, I’ve mixed some Dholakia Black and White and added some Toque Rustica as well. This is a real Roughneck arse kicking snuff! On snuff making, the best grinder you can use is an electric burr grinder. No need to sieve your snuff because you can set the machine to as fine as you like.

L

@ Pieter Claassen A Dholakia White, Black and Toque Rustica mixture sounds rather scary.

P

Yes, and the Rustica is CLEAN, no stalks at all in there. The combination makes my hair stand on end!

W

I actually have exactly those (Black, White and stalkless ground Rustica) I could make that one (right now I’m enjoying my mix of 2 parts F&T HDT + 1 part White). meanwhile on the grinder front on the other thread I’m still getting generic answers ov r there… the electric’ comment made here is helping me hone in more… now if somebody would just say a model/brand name they actually have and use… its not like the “Grinder Police” are gonna come nab people if they just say and identify one

P

Check “making your own snuff”.

W

alright thanks pieter, your comment there is a good start thank you.

W

Pieter, whats the recipe, on your rustica NTSU rooster, how many parts per of each? one equal part each etc?

P

@whistlrr, best is to make a small mix first, using equal parts. If you don’t like it, the waste won’t be to big. Also play around with amounts of snuff which you add until it’s to your liking. Don’t be afraid to experiment, only you will know what you are doing!!
