The Toque black cherry was one of 6 Toque snuffs that I bought recently, here are my thoughts: Not very cherry at all. The snuff is pleasant enough, but smelling the fresh tin, once the ammonia has been released gave me no smell of cherry at all. The smell, as I said, was OK but I am uninspired by it. Compared to the lime USA, grapefruit and St clements it is the poor relation. I have been used to the very cherry tasting Porschl and there is no competition. My piece of hopefully positive criticism would be for Toque to either increase considerable the amount of cheery essence, or change the essence itself. Cheers
I like the Black Cherry and fruit snuffs are not my thing at all. It is very rich, sweet, and easy to take. Does anyone know if this has a little menthol in it? Cause I get a bit of spicy also, that happens when menthol is used sparingly. I can see why you are disappointed in it @Swampy because it does not smell exactly like cherry but you have to consider that Toque only uses natural flavors and this is being put on tobacco. I think Toque does a better job than most makers when it comes to fruity snuffs. My favorite is Pomegranate and to be honest I am not sure how close that is to the real thing since it has been many years since I had one but I think it is great nonetheless.
I do agree with you willc…its very difficult when using natural flavours. I am not a fan of very sweet snuffs, and there is always the risk of an artificial flavour being sickly sweet.
