toque and roderick

Ok can I just say a few words about torque and Roderick . Here is my story … I had recently changed banks and I’m awaiting my new bank cards now this caused me a massive problem in ordering snuff as I had no debit card to order with . I sent rod an email asking if I could pay with cash and what’s his address so I could post it to him . Now this is were I was amazed and thankfull to him you know what he posted me my snuff out that very day on trust and trust alone in this day and age that deserves great respect he posted it Friday I got it Saturday am the very next day . I was so thankfull as I was out of my no 1 snuff peanut butter . I just had to let everyone know here what he did for me thanks Roderick that was such a nice thing to do for me …

A similar occurrence happened to me when I wanted Cheese & Bacon, His website hadn’t been updated I emaild, or whipered on here. and he sent a message back, said it was in the post settle up on your next order, or the heavies will be down. That was his fun, he’s a good fellow. and decent people will always respond, as I did.

In my humble opinion, Roderick is all four Beatles rolled into one. The highest compliment I could ever bestow on anybody.

even Ringo?

Ringo tends to get a bad rap, but many drummers I’ve talked with contend that he was quite good and a bit difficult to follow, as his technique made what he did sound easy, even if it wasn’t so.

A week or so ago I ordered a load of 10g tins plus a 25g tin of SP Extra but only recieved a 10g tin. Roderick is so great I know I can confidently thank him here for sorting it out before I have even emailed him about it!

Roderick is GREAT!!! He will go to any length to make sure his customers are satisfied.

I have to agree with Asherael - ALL of the snuff vendors that frequent this forum conduct their business with the utmost civility and helpfulness, which is indeed rare to find in business these days. So hats off to Roderick, Tom, Dave, Tim & Julia and Namrata!!

Me too! (three?) Even the businesses that are thousands of miles away have the same warmth and concern that a local small town brick and mortar shop would. Part of that is Snuff’s position as a niche market, but it’s still rewarding to know the proprietors and makers on a first name basis. It makes Snuffing all the more pleasant.

Roderick, you may have hit on something there. I think a lot of us, especially on this board, that use snuff are the type that still believes that there are Ladies and Gentlemen in society, and act that way. Call it “old school” or throwbacks, whatever… but for me the lure of snuff is that it’s a connection the the past, of a gentler time, when life was simpler and deals were made with handshakes, instead of 100 lawyers and reams of paper. I collect antique firearms for many of those same reasons. I love to hold a pinch of Wilsons snuff or a 1891 Mosin-Nagant rifle and realize the history in my hand. And just to suck up a little… Roderick is a heck of a nice guy. ( Of course everyone I have dealt with involving snuff has been awesome. Pieter and xander especially.)

I have a lot of hobbies and interests. So far, the other people I’ve encountered in the world of snuffing have been head and shoulders above the rest in being good Humans.

When dealing with snuff vendors, when I have a question, I get a real answer from a real person! No form letters here.

Snuffypants> You mean all four Beatles grinded into one pinch? Right?

Let me add my voice to the praise given Roderick. I sent him an order from here in the states and had my snuff in four days! Many stateside suppliers can’t match that.

Both Roderick and Ringo are great in my opinion. Roderick is a great ambassador for snuff and makes some of the finest out there, and as an ex-drummer I can tell you that Ringo is one cool player - he’s like one of the old blues guys; heart and soul can be way as effective as glittering texhnique.

There we go. Two months on and I make an order and mention the wrong tin. I suggest dropping a 10g tin into my order to make up for it but I wasn’t in the least bit suprised to see an extra 25g tin in there. Thanks Roderick!

With Debbie’s last birthday, I asked Roderick to send her some snuff as a gift. I could not place the order because of some difficulty with my credit card. Before I could rectify the problem, I received a mail from Roderick to inform me that Debbie’s snuff was on it’s way already. Now, that is what I call SERVICE. I LOVE RODERICK

I watched a movie last night called “Blindman” with Ringo Star in it, it’s a spaghetti western. It was pretty good. Yeah, the makers and sellers that post here are all great. And like Roderick alluded, it’s a reflection of us. I think we all treat others like we would want to be treated.

@ Pieter: Really - is that what happened? WOW! Thank you both very very much.
