What are your top five favorite menthol/mint snuff, not necessarily in order of preference? I was trying to figure it out for myself, and it’s very hard, much more difficult than with other varieties for some reason. Maybe because there are so many out there. In any case: WoS SM Blue WoS SM 500 Hedges McC O&G McC Supermint WoS Crumbs of Comfort Toque Peppermint See, even I couldn’t keep it to 5!
Zip CM O&G SM Blue I couldn’t even reach 5! I don’t use menthol snuffs much and when I do I invariably go for the ones which also have camphor in them.
WoS Crumbs Of Comfort McChrystal’s SuperMint WoS Xtra Crumbs Of Comfort Ozona President Poschl Apricot I’m not a lover of menthols, but I love mint
nobody said wilsons cherry menthol!? also: crumbs of comfort ozona president mchrystals og gletscher prise
- Hedges 2) J.H. Wilson’s Medicated No. 99 3) McChrystal’s Supermint 4) Toque Peppermint 5) McChrystal’s English Menthol 6) Swisher/Helme Railroad Mills Checkerberry (Because someone has to mention this one. It’s neither menthol nor mint, but it vaguely belongs in the “medicated” category.)
oh wow, how could I forget RR Mills Checkerberry, I love that stuff, in fact, I’m going to take some right now. Good call kjoerup
medi 99 - good call - (reaches for his tin of)
WoS Crumbs of Comfort WoS Country Mint WoS Peppermint McC Supermint Toque Peppermint All of which have no menthol, just mint. I must admit, I do quite like Prime MInister which is menthol, but I already named 5.
Oh drat. I forgot Zwiefacher. The only German menthol I really liked.
O&G and Sturco. Period. I just started my day with a few pinches of Sturco, as a matter of fact. I don’t mind the snuffs with just a touch of menthol to freshen the taste a little, S.Gawith uses that technique, but I don’t really consider them mentholated as we might think about a “menthol snuff”.
O&G Sturco Hedges L260 WoS Crumbs of Comfort Gawith Apricot
In no particular order: O&G J&H Medicated No. 99 JIP Hedges Highland Ice
I find the Dholakia Medicated to be very good, with a pleasant sweetish taste, and a nice cooling menthol, which is almost just right. Also Sparrow Cool, has a very nice tobacco taste, with a really unique menthol addition, that highlights it rather than overtakes it. I also like the menthol blending of 5 Photo Himalaya, and the Sun Snuffs. So… I guess my top 5 would be from those, but then I also like the fruity menthols of Wilsons, though their menthol is usually of a more peircing level.
GH CM WOS SM Blue WOS Peppermint WOS Honey Menthol WOS Vanilla Ice --More eucalyptus than vanilla.
Favorites: McC O&G Hedges L260 WoS SM Gold Sparrow Cool WoS Raspberry Checkerberry I haven’t really got on with WoS Crumbs of Comfort, Country Mint, or Toque Peppermint. It’s not that I don’t like them, I do. But not as much as those above.
Wilsons Honey Menthol (by quite some way my favourite menthol, I always have this one on hand in bulk) McChrystals Original and Genuine Samuel Gawith CCC (a quite unique flavour along with the menthol) Wilsons SM 500 Wilsons SM Brown
Top 5 in no order: Hedges L260 McC O&G Gawith Hoggarth CM McC Highland Ice McC Sturco Toque Menthol, Gawith Hoggarth Special Medicated, Spartan, McC JIP! and Samuel Gawith Dr Vereys Plus would complete my top 10.
