Does anyone know what kind of tobacco is usually used in paan with tobacco? I am planning on gathering some ingredients to make a small batch since I have an Indian grocer right beside my place. 

There are various types of flavored chewing tobacco which are used in paan. In India the pricing is based on which tobacco is used (low quality versus premium chewing tobacco).
