Could anyone point me in the direction of a guide to the different leafs? The sort of thing I’m interested in would be the characteristics of the leaf such as smell, N strength, and how used with other leafs in making snuff. Country of origin and history of use would interesting too. I feel this would broaden my knowledge and help me choose snuffs to try. Thanks in advance.

That may be an undertaking too large for a single thread, but I will give it my best shot. Give me a few days to organize my notes and start posting here.

I’ll get to this as soon as possible. I’m up to my elbows stripping mid ribs from a pile of beautiful Red Virginia I just got in. As soon as I get a few minutes I’ll get on it. Thanks for your patience.

Thank you both. I’ve been enjoying the Virginia in SG Red Crest. You can really smell the sweetness from the tin.
