So far my favorite is Toque’s Toast&Marmalade but I haven’t disliked any of the ones I’ve tried.
@stogie - Agreed, GH Irish D is a wonderful toast that really bridges a taste gap between British toasts and American toasts. Its one to order in larger tins for sure.
I think Toque Natural Toast is right up there with F&T and Wilson’s 22. I’ll be ordering a bag of it once I’ve used up some of my current snuff stash.

I got Irish D in my all toast bundle almost 2 years ago as one of my first snuff orders. I did not like it, but I was comparing it to British snuffs. Just today I had reopened it and now having tried several American scotches, it is extremely similar to Rooster in the scent department.

Honestly, for a long time I had thought about saying that despite not having the “sophisticated” packaging that WoS and F&T do, Toque is their equals. I need to place a bulk order for Roderick’s natural toast as well. And what is with the quality of Toque’s scenting? Seriously… it kicks WoS’s butt. Again, without the aristocratic packaging and lineage trying to color my perception, I think Toque is the best British snuff(mind you I haven’t had many H&G or SG snuffs). If I had a suggestion(as a huge Lime Toast fan), it would be a lemon toast. I have WoS, and I love it, but I KNOW Roderick can best it.
As the forum regulars know, I’m a fawning fan… Toque rules!
N C Arya Madras Snuff this week
probably shouldn’t comment as a newby–but shall. almond toast
Of course you should respond @bogybill… Your opinion matters…
it’s snuff it’s about enjoyment not dissection. It’s just the dissection is fun. Or in other words newbie comments are completely valid.
Lately toasts have been bothering me a bit in that they always clog up one of my nostrils. I think Whites are going to be my regular snuffs for the next few months. I know this is blasphemy though. They have a great scent, they just stuff up my nose like I’m sniffing sand.

YOU HAVE BEEN FORMALLY EXCOMMUNICATED FROM THE TOAST DISCUSSION! haha
LOL
At least he’s not going on and on about Toque. LoL!

I’ve tried WoS IHT No22, F&T HDT, SG Irish D Light and GH Irish D, and find the Wilson’s to be my favourite. The Irish D is rather nice in a very different way to the others, reminding me more of a scotch than a toast, and I like the other two, but when they all run out I’ll probably just reorder the IHT No.22. I was driving home from a holiday on the coast and smelled some smoke from someone burning some wood in their garden that made me think how nice a blackberry scented toast would be!
@horus92 toasts clog me up especially when it’s humid. I have barely touched any this summer. Been hammering through everything menthol. I save the toasts for winter, then they are my best friends
I had a tweet chat with Ian from McChrystals recently and he said they are looking at bringing out a toast. Just thought you’d all like to know. He didn’t say it was a secret or anything so I don’t feel I’m betraying his trust. I’m rather excited by this, being a toast lover. No indication when though.
SG’s irish d light is now one of my favourite toasts always found toasts lacking in the smokiness dept but this one delivers.
need to get more toasts, i only had HDT, lundy foot, and a collection of toques i cant really respect as toasts since they seem to be just fine dry flavoured snuff. i dont see the point of a toast if its not… toasty. if that makes sense. i prefer HDT, any suggestions what i should pick up next order?
I think as a variation Hoggarth Irish D is a good choice @Firestarter0. Not the same but a welcome ‘addition’.
