I’m new here, so please forgive my ignorance, after buying everything I’ve now narrowed down what snuff is for me…it’s definitely toasts…I’ve given away the ones I didn’t like. But my question is do unopened toasts keep well ? If a unopened Irish 22 was in a kilner jar would it be ok in 2 years? I like to have a stockpile just incase.

Welcome aboard, @Hertfordshire! If you buy your snuff in tins, decant it to glass (jar) or plastic tub for longer term storage. But do open a lid once in a while, letting your snuff to breath a bit. Stored airtight / not vented, sometimes toasts go off and develop unpleasant smell. This issue for the most part can be fixed by airing, but it’s better to prevent it happening at all.

Thank you…I appreciate the insight and the welcome.

I have Several toasts that I have had in my possession for multiple years. Have had no issues. Just protect from moisture and contamination from other ‘aromas’ and you should be fine!!!
