I know that after a while you should blow out your nose to clear the excess snuff but do most people use a hankerchief or tissues? When I blow out it can be kind of messy so I would think tissues would work better because you can immediately throw them away. I guess since you only need to do this maybe twice a day you could use a hankie and just wash it every day.
Tissue is hard on the nose, as for needing to wash my hankies daily, well I have 10 hankies which I suspect is a modest number for this forum
i have 20 hankies and i carry 2 of them everyday.
I only have like five, maybe six hankies so I use tissue paper most of the time, which sucks. They don’t bother my nose they’re just weak so little flecks of toilet paper will get on my shirt after a good blow.
Hankies at home for me, and as I work from home that means I usually use hankies. I have a drawer full of them. Some are large bandana types, other are are smaller 100% cotton squares which I have dyed various shades of khaki and brown (with Dylon, not snuff!). I tend to take those little pocket packs of tissues to the pub though there is always a hanky in my pocket for de-snuffing the face.
Tissues, all the way, for me.
Hankies when I am out and about, tissues at home.
Hankies, can’t have enough, most places sell them for 1-2$ grab an extra one when/wherever you can! Also old cotton shirts make good squares.
Handkerchiefs about 90-95% of the time. I have 20 or so, so there are always one or two clean. A small one lasts half a day. A large one can sometimes last two days. I shake and scrape them outside when they are dry. When they are saturated, they go to the hanky pre-laundry. That is a basket by my shower. When shower time comes one or two shower with me. At the end I hang them up. Then to the hamper with the regular laundry. I learned by breaking a washing machine with dusty work clothes that you need to prewash heavy soils before washing them #-o
I use both, I prefer hankies but recently bought a 10 pack of aloe vera impregnated pocket tissues which are handy when out and about.
I had about 8 bandana style handkerchief (and some nice white for suits). Found a company in USA and ordered 24. They made a mistake and sent 48. I’ve been collecting silk pocket squares for years and have hundreds. someday I will post (as soon as I learn to use the simplest camera in the world which I just bought). Can’t quite see using them for my nose. I used to dress well which including accessorizing.
I prefer hankies. Got a 30 pack of them from a surplus website for 11 bucks a couple months ago.
Bandana type hankies for cleaning after snuffing or just catching a little bit of runny nose after a good sized hit.Tissues for blowing for the most part, but I will blow into a hankie if its about to go in the laundry.
tissue and throw away. They plant trees for this purpose and I support tree farmers. loggers, truckers, paper mills, and the staff at all these company’s and the stores that sell them; not to mention the advertisers and actors or cartoonist .and the garbage men that haul’s them away. Washing, waste water and soap and electricity.
Tissues all the way, but I wish they made them in unbleached paper like they do coffee filters that would be the perfect color.
Hankerchief on the go. sitting at computer tissues.
I just blows holes in tissues so I use tartan cotton hankies.
I use KimWipes. Ha! I don’t recommend this, I’m just a lab rat bench scientist and that’s what’s always around right under my nose, so to speak.
In private I use tissues, when im out I like the camouflage of an ugly hanky to hide the unplesent excretions.
Always use kitchen roll. Tear a couple of sheets off and put them in my pocket. Really tough, absorbent and can be folded and used a few times before throwing away.
