The rubber on my acrylic snuff bullet started getting sticky and i didn’t know what to do. Other people tried mineral oil, or even talcum powder, but that didn’t work. I eventually took a nail file and filed the rubber down a bit, then buffed it with a nail buffer and this worked. I notice that the new bullet i bought was very loose to.

Nail file sounds a lot better than when I tried to use a knife. My bullet came with a o ring that was too big so I bought some new ones at the hard ware store almost the right side and, tried to knife it smaller which didn’t work. I now always carry a spanner with me too turn the little thing on my bullet. I should try the file.

I’ve used a wee drop of olive oil with great success.

Start with the rough file, then the smoother one.

i suppose the correct term would be a cosmetic emery board. Olive oil sounds good.

If you replace the o-ring/gasket, my suggestion would be to buy nitrile/buna-n o-rings/gaskets as the regular rubber will break down over time and cause the symptoms you are describing.
