There seems to be a shortage of 2 oz threaded tins. I’ve contacted 4 vendors and all of them are out of stock/back order. I’m almost out. Anyone here have a source for these? Cheers

@Mouse They were on my list. I called and they’re going to get back to me this afternoon. Paper Mart, Specialty Bottle, ULINE and Container & Packaging Supply are all on back order. I hope they hurry up. I need a gross of them. Thanks for the heads up.

I checked Sunburst and Papermart, both are out. I believe most of the websites that sell things like this don’t actually stock everything, I think it’s more a “drop ship” type of arrangement… when the main supplier is out, everyone is out. The problem is the shipping (for a small customer like me) is almost as much as the product.

Also, when I ordered from Sunburst, the box and billing paperwork said FREUNDCONTAINER on them…

I’m not surprised about the Freund Container connection. They do a huge business with resellers.

@hgrissom not for small amounts . Smash boxes are good to carry when you need your snuff to stay dry ,like fishing, rather than a snuff box. they are airtight and the smaller ones you can carry an assortment ,I decant mostly all my snuff into air tight glass jars I carry an assortment of wood ,pewter,plastic, snuffboxes also stainless flask and bottles. I do own a few small smashbox’s. Some types of plastics do permeate both smells and chemical breakdown of the plastic. I believe these polypropylene ones are safe

@hgrissom I been looking for a waterproof container for snus and dip. They have 2.5 x 1.3 that would work perfect. Heck they probable be great for fishing gear also

@basement_shaman have you seen the Thunder waterproof snus tin? Seems pretty nice. I have one of the metal icetool ones myself although it isn’t waterproof - and I no longer snus

@hgrissom I wanted the General waterproof tin but they can sell to USA .These plastic ones are cheap and I wouldn’t shit if I lost one

How about a snuff tin recycling program. Send back 10 old mill empty tins and get one filled tin free?
