Yesterday I received my first order of snuffs from NicotineRush. I love the American Snuffs, and now I have four new ones, Three Thistle, Ralphs, - plain and Red Seal, and Checkerberry, sweet. First off I want to say thanks to Tom for bringing to market many brands of US snuffs, that are otherwise unobtainable over the internet. Also want to say thanks for a generous sample of Carhart’s Sweet. Enough preamble, Today I just want to talk about Three Thistles Strong Scotch. It’s made by Helme (Swisher) It was the first one I cracked open, probably because I wanted to see if it was really much stronger than most of the American scotch brands. The color is light tan, about the same shade as Levi Garrett Scotch & Rapee. After using it all morning, I think it could be considered in the same class as LGSR overall. My friends, the name does not lie. Not only is the flavor a full, smokey almost leathery tone, the nose is immediately aware that a lot of nicotine is aboard. Ten seconds later, you know this to be true. Five minutes later you blow it out and your nose is wonderfully clear, with a pleasant and complex finish that I haven’t quite pinned down. Whatever it is, it’s really good. If you looking for a snuff with an extra kick, I’d recommend this one.
Thanks for the review i am awaiting my order from NicotineRush and nearly ordered this one but went for Navy Scotch Dry Snuff and Red Seal Sweet Dry Snuff after reading reviews but this sounds great i love the sound of the leathery tone, looking forward to trying this one. Getting Rooster as my free sample.
I almost got some of the Three Thistles on my last order, but decided not to at the last minute. I did however get some Checkerberry. This stuff is great. Filled up my snuff box 2 hours ago, and it’s half gone already. Good thing I brought along some Chief Bull too, otherwise I might run out of snuff today.
I guess I’ll have to order the Three Thistles and the Checkerberry! So much for not ordering snuff online for a while…
I just ordered from Tom, got the checkerberry but not the three thistles. Damm!
