A tip that is working for me. I decided to look into nasal sprays (un-medicated/natural) to help with nasal moisture. I looked at the sinus buster products and nothing against them for now settled on a saline spray. What I have found has been the best solution for my particular nasal drip issues (which are always most pronounced with the scotchs, which I love). I take a bit of saline, then snuff, and keep snuffing for a while, till the urge to blow your nose comes. Then reapply saline before continuing to snuff. It is making a big difference for me in the nasal drip aspect, possibly speaking volumes that my control with the scotchs could be better as I am still hitting too far back. Ken

@Ken, my problem comes when I sit in a reclined position after I’ve pinched any snuff which makes my nose run.

D

Don’t sit in a reclined position! Sorry had to say it. Ken

G

Part of my enjoyment comes from it running down my throat.

D

The scotches burn a bit too much for me on that one. Ken

R

The drip from Toque Cheese & Bacon is awesome! So yummy!

S

American Scotches also give me terrible drip issues, as do mentholated German snuffs. My solution is to avoid them. There are plenty of other snuffs that satisfy my nicotine needs without unpleasant side effects.

P

@ Ken, thanks for the sound advice, will try it!!!

D

There is the issue, I love the scotches but they are the worst drip for me. Especially RR Mills. For some reason Navy sweet is not that bad though as far as the drip. Ken

Don’t think I’ve ever seen this on any forums. But if you are into Natural Stuff Try taking some Slipper Elm That helps reduce mucus. It helps me out so much when snuffing. Don’t have as much nasal discharge which means less drip also.

C

I’ve heard of people drinking this as a tea when they are sick.

D

Slipper Elm , huh, now where to find it? Ken

C

I think it’s actually Slippery Elm, and I think you can find it at any GNC or health food stores.

D

Hmm, I will have to do some research. Ken

K

@ cstokes4 Thank you for correcting my stupidity, guess I wasn’t watching what I was typing.

B

it is good for colds and stuff. Licorice added in makes for a really good tea not only in effect but taste.

N

Post nasal drip is part of the experience. That is what bandannas are for. Just don’t let it drip off your chin.

C

Yeah, it just comes with the territory.

B

Interesting… I suffered from PND for years. Snuff was the only thing that stopped it!

X

Bernard’s Brasil Fienst was giving me some serious front nasal drip yesterday.

R

I may be in the minority here, but I love the nasal drip, especially from Taxi Red, Green, and Blue. Except my wife complains about all the brown stained napkins I leave around the house.

C

Yeah, it just comes with the territory.

Agreed. It just happens, and some are better than others. Sure beats hell out of smokers cough, which also comes with that piece of cigarette territory. Never had a cough from pipes or cigars because I don’t inhale them. Cigs? I hacked like a hyena every morning until I lit up another Camel non filter. The worst cough I had was when I quit. Months of hacking fits that woke up the neighbors and got the hounds to howling. I’ll take a little post nasal drip any day. I’ve been enjoying it for decades now and it doesn’t even register anymore. It’s just there. I added just a wee bit of sugar to some Dholokia Swiss Chocolate once. Not bad at all.

The few snuffs sure to produce a drip are in order of impact: Taxi Red, Berwick Brown and Hedges L260. Mind I don’t mind the drip, though it can be bothersome when I think I have it coming out my nose (more the case with thinking so with L260) as opposed to it actually dripping as is the case with Taxi and Berwick. I prefer any such drip to go back versus out the nose as I suppose most would.
