THEY HAVE SILVER DOLLAR AND TOQUE USA IN THE UP!

I went to my bookstore/tobacconist and picked up my first meerschaum, and I figured I’d ask if they had snuff there. The guy knew what I was referring to and said they had apricot. I asked if it was Poschi and he said it was Silver Dollar. They’re ordering some Toque USA snuffs for me since I asked too. I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan (read: CENTRAL NOWHEREVILLE) and Toque has made it all the way here. I literally jumped for joy when he said they had silver dollar. They only had a few flavors and it was almost four bucks for five grams but I’ll gladly support a business that supports my tobacco habit. @Roderick: You’ve really outdone yourself and so has my local tobacconist.

Good for you!! I’ve been to Picture Rocks twice so I know the area and the Pasties signs everywhere. I’ve also been to Houghton on the way to Isle Royale. It seemed like a nice college town. Where are you at in Superiorland?

I haven’t found anything but Garrett here in Dallas so the UP is ahead of the game.

In the Marquette area. It’s the closest we have to an urban area.

I actually just picked some up today here in Houston. I only bought some of the Natural, but it’s great. Since I’m not a big fan of mentholated snuffs, I didn’t want to try any of the others. The natural is great stuff. People often say FUBAR Grunt reminds them of cigars, but to me it’s more of of the smoke than the tobacco. Silver Dollar Natural tastes like great tobacco, straight cigar leaf.

Cool, I live near Alpena so there is hope Michigan snuffsters are alive

@Roderick Are your products in any stores in Annapolis or Queen Annes County, Maryland

@Roderick You are like the Beatles of snuff. Hopefully you start a full-on British Invasion.

@Roderick If you haven’t checked about Maryland etc. I’m wondering about them in Minnesota. All I’ve seen are some of the old batch.

One of my good friends owns a tobacco shop and he has carries Silver Dollar snuff for a long time. Unfortunately I am really the only one that buys it. It is a very nice shop, best one in town. I would say most of his customers besides regular cigarette sales are for eCigs and then cigars. Sad thing is a few tobacco shops have been robbed in my area. He openly carries his handgun while in his shop so it gives any shady characters something to think about. I was over there the other day when some guy came in says to my friend “so that’s the famous gun” My friend asks “and why is it famous?” he says word on the street is that you are always packing.

I found some SD in a local shop today but it was as dry as dust. I’m going to rehydrate it, but if someone trys that for their first snuff, they won’t know that, and it will probably turn them off to it.

The snuff rehydrate pretty well, the Natural is pretty good a bit coarser grind than the English version. The Original is pretty good A finer grind and a slight hint of menthol with the SP gives it a nice kick
