The Toughest Snuff

Forgive the title it was either that or ‘Most Manly Snuff’.

What do you think is the most hardest, toughest, roughest snuff out there? LIke something even an angry grizzly bear would have a hard time snuffing.

For me it’s Chocolate by Samuel Gawith. It might be called chocolate but it’s nothing like it. If you were to imagine grinded up charcoal from a used wood fire or barbecue, fermented and stored for 100 years in hell, then taken and hidden underground for another 50 in a forest mixing in with dirt(Warning : This may not actually be their process  ) then packaged up and sold that would be it. It’s so raw and coarse comapred to any of my other snuffs, but, every now and again you want to have a go at the toughest rawest snuff you’ve got for a change.

As far as menthols go I would say Red Bull. The flavour is sweet, but the menthol is strong. With the chocolate there’s not much burn or anything like that just the flavour is very coarse.

Dholakia White.

Sounds good. This was posted in another thread on here, a guy taking a huge pinch of the stuff :

Hilarious! Who takes D. White with the back of the hand method?  NOT ME !!!

I haven’t had D White but I have had Elephant…the toughest has to be an Indian White!

Snuffster’s theoretical “Dragonfire” snuff =P

Dholakia white/ it’s a masochists dream snuff

I never had D White, is it white as in non-tobacco? If I had to pick the toughest snuff, it would definantly be a schmalzler

schmalzler would be in the catagory of most easy going

@Xander how do you figure that?

@vito4445 Becuase they are soft, moist, coarser ground and the oils in them make them generally easy for beginners to take. They are also usually sweet and rich. Not at all what I think of as a penetential snuff, which is how I would view the OP. I would join the conensus in regarding Dholakia White as “toughest”, although I suspect most Indian white snuffs would be of equal wickedness. Even the Dholakia Sparrow can be mean. I suspect some of their new toasts are as well. None of these things should be handled by the untrained. Master toasts first. Then master scotches. Then move on to the above. Likewise I would not want to recommend anyone handle a scorpion chili pepper if they still think jalpenos are hot.

Also @theatre Is your SG Chocolate from a tap box? That’s probably why its dried out rubbish.  You might be able to rehydrate it.  Next time go with the vacuum tin.

White Elephant

Red Bull…AARRRGGGGH! I hate it, I hate it so much!

@Xander I guess my nose works differently compared to most of you. For me the Schmalzers that I have which are all the poschl ones are the toughest, they really have a kick and cause me to sneeze which no other snuff does anymore. Sometimes I sneeze uncontrably from it, if I have not done it it a while. At the same time very fine and dry snuffs are hard for me to take, somone gifted me WOS Irish High Toast No. 22. It is like some of the toques I have, i gotta be real careful or else it goes into my sinuses or my throat.

Dholakia white

Dholakia White for me too. On the other hand, Cheeta I find quite easy to take (both are white super fine grind snuffs).

American scotches are like training wheels on a bike getting you ready for Inidan Whites and the new Dholakia Toast. In comparison to those Indian snuffs every scotch I have tried is easy to take.

Royal George. For some reason this one is pretty sharp for me esp. when I take a quick sniff. Still like it a lot though.

Dholakia white. And in my opinion, anybody who says he truly likes DW is lying, or a masochists.
I hate it. It’s smell like fish, bah.
