As one of the “owners” of STE it is, for all intents and purposes, dead. It may be resurrected, but not anytime soon. It was great while it lasted.
Thanks again to all our supporters and readers.
Can you still provide digital copies of past issues?
Possibly…let me check into it.
I would be interested in reading the existing issues, but would be more likely to read digital copies.

I am a big fan of STE, having all the printed issues, and I find it a treasured possession.I intend to refer back to it for many decades to come (much as I do Pipe Smokers Ephemeris, which I also own the entire run of). I hope a way can be found to move forward, despite any challenges.
@bigmick = Mick Hellwig? – is it true that the STE staff had acquired all of Tom Dunn’s smokeless tobacco archives as a historical reference source before the magazine started?
Yeah, bigmick = Mick Hellwig.
I won’t say we got all his smokeless archives, but we did get a big chunk of them. Well we didn’t, my buddy Rob did. Unfortunately due to life changes they are all in safe storage and inaccessible at the moment.
what a tragedy! i will order the existing copies off amazon. Bigmick, how many were there altogether?
9 issues, with a reprint of #1. There was a special printing of the original “T’was the night before Christmas” included with one issue, but I don’t remember which one. Even I don’t have a hard copy of Vol.9. Yet.
I liked the magazine a lot, I have the set. It has to be said that, I personally, found it geared more towards snus and smokeless that nasal snuff, and was more US in focus than global. But, all of the articles where very informative. I particularly enjoyed the Bella Lagussi one. It’s a great shame that it only ran for nine issues, I kind of got the feeling that that it was still finding it’s way when it stopped, if that makes any sense.
The running satirical “{insert name} is a snuff taker. The Ephemeris is his magazine” joke was very funny too, overall there was a lot of humour in there, still well worth a read if you can get your hands on them. I had no idea that snuffhouse’s own @bigmick was the editor of the publication though; Thanks for those 9 issues, they were great :D
@MisterPaul Thanks for the kind words.
In our defense all oral smokeless was snuff in it’s beginnings and we are Americans. lol
I never made a big deal of STE here as I didn’t want to use SnuffHouse as a advertising tool. At least not in the forums proper.
@basement_shaman, that was a cool video! Is that 16mm? that last song was awesome
@jmahes Don’t know? Have to ask Bigmick he is part of that group. I just hijacked this from youtube.I watch all the STE videos they are right up my alley.
@basement_shaman, cool. I’m gonna look them up
I’ll get the creator to give me details and post here in a couple days. I do know that video was thrown together using bits and pieces of existing film. The original footage shot in Stockholm was part of a ugly copyright dispute between what was at the time friends so we had to come up with something to fill the space.
The song was Hey Joe by Dean Michaels. Not 16mm, just a crappy camera.
@bigmick, Dean Michaels cool!
i like the edits, reminds me of stuff my dad has from the '60’s
Thanks. Our prez Feck has a thing for old music, the odder the better it seems. He knows more music than anyone I know. (Granted that isn’t saying much.) He’s a renaissance man in disguise, as in you’d never guess it by looking at him.
