The scent of Toque is not so long lasting..

I got my toques today, i have tried 6 out of 10 flavours. The problem is: When i take it, the scent lasts only for 1 minute, and then there is no sign of it anywhere. Does anyone else have the same problem?

That’s how they are for me. Except with the Cheese and Bacon, the cheese keeps lurking about in your sinuses. Stalking…waiting until some unsuspecting moment when you think it’s gone…and then…WHABAM! CHEESE SMELL! The natural toast lasts a bit too, but stuff like Coke lasts so little I find myself chain sniffing it.

Its a bit like having snus that doesn’t taste like anything. You just want to replace it. I just instantly want more when the scent of Raspberry & Menthol fades away…

It also has to do with how Toque is using natural scents as opposed to artificial ones which, at least in my experience, last longer. I’d rather have the realistic natural flavor as opposed to one that was like a generic, mass produced flavor. Also, the base tobacco in toque is one of the best so I don’t mind that. I use ‘whiskey and honey’ daily and it seems to linger for quite a while, but I do agree the fruit scents are short lived.

Yep! Jbruckus is spot on. We only use 100% natural flavourings and this means some of our flavours don’t last as long as we all would like. I think the one I have to keep pinching the most is my morning Grapefruit, I love the initial zing but, hate how I have to keep pinching. I eventually switch to Toast & Marmalade or Lime Toast. The ones that I find last the longest are Absinthe and that damned Cheese & Bacon. Christmas Pudding is a long laster as well as Spanish Gem, Whisky and Honey, Toffee, Chocolate and the florals (which I don’t get on with) but, have a good demand.

Nuusku, Glad you got them so quickly.

I’ll never forget the moment I first tried Wilson’s Rum & Blackberry. Wow. Then just a couple tin openings later, saying Where did it go? Maybe it all should be in individual tinfoil doses sealed from the factory.

yep, hooked, Wilson’s Apple Blackcurrant is kind of in the same boat.

I find snuffs with very long lasting scents annoying, plus I second what jbruckus says, the tobacco that backs it up is top notch.

Well, there are natural fragrances with long shelf-lives, like many of those used in the old recipes, but it must be very difficult to create snuff for contemporary tastes without resorting to synthetics. Most people consume so many synthetic products in packaged foods and other consumer goods that it’s a wonder any of us can sense, let alone appreciate, the natural flavors/scents at all.

Well, the Snuff is really excelent so it doesn’t matter so much. Thank you Roderick, great snuff, fast delivery

Whiskey and Honey Toast (my personal favorite besides QUIT) is a MASTERPIECE and lasts long enough for me. This is a snuff I would love to have a bucket of.

Ive had Spanish Gem all day, and i absolutely love it! This scent is very pleasing, and for me, it seems to last too. (or it might be just because i keep taking it every minute… )

I take snuff quite often so longevity of scent is no big issue for me.

yes I agree with AllanH plus I must add I prefer a snuff that doesn’t over stay it’s welcome scentwise.

@Vathek Doesn’t Molens already have one or two of those types from old recipes that they found?

@bob I agree to some extent. If only snuff lasted as long as “we want it to” heh

@transistor if only everything lasted as long was we wanted it to.

I find that I really don’t want the scents to lingur. Makes me sick after a time.

I agree with Pot Poe. Especially with something sweet like the Coke. I find that Scotches like Honey Bee often over stay their welcome.
