Recent discussions of the Neftobak product and the shape of the container brought to light (new to me) and old way of taking snuff.  People would put the tip of the horn into their nostril and shake or tap some tobacco directly into place.  Hell, I just had to try it!  I find that it works beautifully with the snuff flask, available from Toque and Mr. Snuff, and Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Brown.  Samuel Gawith KBs work well too.  Seems to be just the ticket with any heavy snuff I have tried it with (I’m not stupid enough to try with a fine, dry snuff…sniffing works just fine thank you).  I find that I can get a full snozz even when my nose is almost completely clogged.

My question is:  Anybody else tried this new-old way of doing things?

Nope…I’m not afraid of doing things differently, but I would need a spotter.

Did you see that box on mrsnuff on the poschl tab that shoots snuff up your nose?  I thought that would be pretty sweet to have but it is sold out.

I’ll be honest, I have not.  Sounds interesting though.  I’ll have to go take a look.
