Cool presentation! Thanks for sharing!

excellent find

Good find. A pity that they didn’t mention Matthew Whittaker who was the first to manufacture snuff in Kendal - around 1740.

Good find. That was very interesting! Also enjoyed the segment on the Kendal Canal. I love canals and maritime/industrial history. I’m a proponent of canal revival/restoration.

great find! thanks for sharing!!

really enjoyed that. Thanks @cstokes4

Thanks @cstokes4 Do they still manufacture Western Glory, Winston Churchill"s favorite?

@Chef_Dean - they sure do, and it’s quite lovely - I have it in bulk (250g) - you can get it at Mr Snuff, but perhaps stick to the 25g tubs vs the 10g tap boxes

(it is a medium coarse grind, and so when it dries out in the tap boxes [as always happens with English snuffs, it seems] it gets rather unpleasant and gritty to snuff)

Thank You @Willymac I must try some! I have always admired Sir Winston.

Very interesting and enjoyable story!

That was really interesting - thanks for posting.

Now that was terrific! Sir George Rooke captured the first snuff! I’ll watch that a second time. =D>
